I'm knackered, I'm aneamic, I'm 32 weeks pregnant and tbh I just can't be arsed ... I don't usually mind the older ones having the odd chippy 13 and 10 but WIBU to give it to the 5,3 and 2 yr old too??

They’ll love it, peas and fish are full of nutrients anyway!

EleanorLavish · 12/04/2019 16:25

Do it! It is absolutely fine.
It's still just food.

AtrociousCircumstance · 12/04/2019 16:25

YANBU.

Peel a couple of carrots and throw some salady bits on the side and it’s a perfectly balanced meal Grin

MissBPotter · 12/04/2019 16:26

No definitely not! Do it!

Leeds2 · 12/04/2019 16:26

Fish has always been called "brain food," so you will be assisting their education!

hidinginthenightgarden · 12/04/2019 16:27

Definitley not unreasonable!

ATowelAndAPotato · 12/04/2019 16:27

Chinese here tonight. Vegetable spring rolls are a winner with my kids, so that’s my excuse!

NorthernRunner · 12/04/2019 16:28

No!
But the big question is do you do curry sauce/mushy peas/gravy??

I’m pregnant also and I never want fish and chips normally but when I’m with child it’s all I want!!!

SheDancesOnTheSand · 12/04/2019 16:28

It is fish Friday after all Wink

MarinaMarinara · 12/04/2019 16:29

32 weeks pregnant with 5 DC and it’s Friday? Do it! And then put your feet up for a very much needed break! And don’t go any get it yourself either - if you can send either DH or your eldest to fetch it you totally should.

My 3yo loves the occasional chip shop treat for dinner and eats loads of fish (which usually she won’t touch).

Pimmsypimms · 12/04/2019 16:29

YADNBU I LOVE a Friday chippy tea!!

SleepingSloth · 12/04/2019 16:30

Absolutely do it. Sometimes you just need to take the easy option. Then have nap if you can. Hope you manage to get on top of the anaemia soon.

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 12/04/2019 16:32

Do it! My children don’t like food from the chipper which is a pain.
Do it for me Grin

MordredsOrrery · 12/04/2019 16:32

I think this is the least unreasonable AIBU I've ever seen!

Absolutely get a chippy tea - you'll all enjoy it and mushy peas are the food of the gods Smile

HogMother · 12/04/2019 16:34

You’re cooking your sixth child? That’d be enough cooking for me, send a capable one to the chippy and put your feet up

HBStowe · 12/04/2019 16:34

You appear to have five kids and a sixth nearly on the way. You are 100% entitled to do whatever is easy and feels right!!

rabbitheadlights · 12/04/2019 16:37

well that's dinner sorted then ... ☺ thanks for making it so easy I thought I might get lots of people saying not for the babies ...

I will definately send my Dd 13 the chippy is actually only maybe 200 yds away and people come for miles to it.

@northernRunner definately mushy peas and curry sauce!!

As for the nap that's unlikely but I am hoping to be in bed by 9 tonight

what's everyone else having for dinner?

Circe32 · 12/04/2019 16:45

Fridge & freezer fully stocked, but I have a horrible cold and feel bleah, so chinese for us tonight! No blaming here :-)

Loyaultemelie · 12/04/2019 16:46

YABVU now I want a chippy too!
Enjoy Grin

Yabbers · 12/04/2019 16:49

Your 5, 3 and 2 year old have never had a chip shop takeaway??

NorthernRunner · 12/04/2019 16:49

I think we are also have fish and chips thanks to you haha

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 12/04/2019 16:53

I had chippy last night. It was divine.

Homemade Thai green curry tonight. That'll be delicious; DP is an incredible cook.

NabooThatsWho · 12/04/2019 16:54

I’m currently having a chippy munchie box. Cheeseburger, onion rings, chicken goujons and curry dip. Side order of potato scallops for extra carb-age.

Go for it!

havingtochangeusernameagain · 12/04/2019 16:56

Fish and chips are yummy. It would be rude not to.

rabbitheadlights · 12/04/2019 16:57
