To fantasise about a robot?

If you could make a carbon copy of the person you’re attracted to (but not with), i.e., a living breathing robot, would you? You could programme them to be loving and kind. They may occasionally malfunction of course. But imagine being able to have sex with the object of your affection. Would you do it?

I think it would be wrong but I don’t think I could resist the temptation.

This is incel territory. Richard is not perfect, you need to meet some other men. He'd absolutely shit himself if he knew you were planning love spells and a sex robot.

CryptoFascist · 04/04/2019 16:46

@BadLad, I'd make an exception for Kryten! At least he enjoys housework and has an impressive selection of groinal attachments. I've done a lot worse.

origamiunicorn · 04/04/2019 16:47

The problem is, how would I have RobotRichard have the same body as Richard when I haven’t seen Richard naked. I’ve seen Richard’s head, neck, part of his chest, full arms, bum crack when bending over and a bit of shin. But I’d want to be sure he’s an exact replica.

Thing is, I really want it to be Richard’s penis, whatever that looks like big/small whatever.

I want him to smell and malfunction though so I can trick myself into believing he’s real.

Sorry OP, I'm sure you mean well but this is decidedly creepy.

whyshouldiworry · 04/04/2019 17:07

At least he won't stink out the bathroom!

whyshouldiworry · 04/04/2019 17:08

So no to online dating, but yes to shagging robots and casting magic spells?

Love Kryten!

SleepingStandingUp · 04/04/2019 17:14

But you would forever by the knowledge that RobotRich says he loves you because the programme tells him to, and that all he knows is based on what you think and guess. You don't now his favourite sexual position or he'd make you hot chocolate if you had flu. And whilst you RobotRich is malfunctioning with erectile dysfunction because you're drunk and he's in drunk programme, you'll know Richard is having sex with his actual partner.

God imagine if RobotRich and Richard met

origamiunicorn · 04/04/2019 17:44

I feel like this is a Netflix series in the making Grin

LellowYedbetter · 04/04/2019 17:55

This has got to be someone having a laugh

But - if not, yeah I’d shag a robot, especially if he did the housework too. I’d want him to resemble Sean bean

Pinkbutton85 · 04/04/2019 17:56

Would you cast your love spell?

Andromeida59 · 04/04/2019 18:43

Seems to me OP that you're distracting yourself with spells and robots Hmm.

If you had such high self esteem you'd not be going down this route. It seems like this is a distraction because you don't want to get hurt/take a risk in online dating.

Online dating will always be more successful than spells and sex robots (I've been with DP 14 years, met through online dating, no spells required). I'm hoping you're doing this for a joke because it's all coming across as rather sad.

He's not yours. It's very unlikely he'll be yours. Move on and stop wasting your life.

The only type of robot I want is a robotic vacuum cleaner.

Crystalblue13 · 04/04/2019 20:44

😂 hilarious

driftingcloud · 04/04/2019 22:24

Thought this would be about robotic Hoover's

sockatoe · 06/04/2019 23:11

Oh. My. Word.
As much as I think OP needs help to manage her expectations of life and relationships, I concur with a pre IOU's poster - she could also be the consultant/writer for a Netflix series. Maybe not based Richard. Maybe "For the love of Dave" could be a working title. And also a valuable distraction for OP, who has more to achieve in life than "admirer from afar"

I opened this thinking it would be about Robert from Justin's House!

Robert would probably be super handy around the house too.

Don't get any romantic hopes up, ladies - Robert the Robot is already married (or at least was until last year) - to a man.

He never seems to mention his spouse in his CBeebies role (too busy dashing about, cleaning up after Justin and firing up the RMP1 player, I suppose), but he has spoken of it in interviews connected with his other TV role as a judge settling petty disputes on ITV.
