Desperately putting of cleaning the over and scrubbing the kitchen floor!

So far I've walked the dog.

Had 3 cups of tea since 6am.

Had a gossip over the fence with Sandra next door.

Scrolled through MN

Stripped my bed.

And got the dishwasher out ready for my new washing machine tomorrow.

I really really do not want to do these chores 🙄

What are you putting off doing?

PerpendicularVincent · 25/03/2019 10:16

Going for a run.

So far I've tidied upstairs, texted some friends and gone back to bed Blush

cardibach · 25/03/2019 10:18

You’re all doing better than me. I’ve done nothing but watch some tv and MN a bit. Should be
-going for a walk
-buying a vacuum cleaner
-doing some cleaning
-researching for a book.
I need a personal arse kicker to come round.

Floralnomad · 25/03/2019 10:18

You are doing way better than me so far I have put a load of washing on , fed the dog , had breakfast and played on the iPad whilst watching Judge Judy .

Dotty1970 · 25/03/2019 10:18

I wish I could be at home with the opportunity of doing those things and not having to hide taking a glimpse at mn.
Instead I'm at work about to chair a meeting that will possibly last 4 to 5 hours. Confused

chocolatelog · 25/03/2019 10:19

Off and oven that was suppose to say 🙄

OP posts:
beela · 25/03/2019 10:20

I'm sat in the car park at the gym scrolling through mumsnet Blush

megletthesecond · 25/03/2019 10:20

Texting my neighbour about a potential fence boundary issue. I feel sick thinking about it tbh Blush.

Mark my words I'll tidy the house before I do that.

QuestionableMouse · 25/03/2019 10:20

I'm meant to be at uni but have a truly stonking cold and I'm sitting sipping a (vile) lemsip then going back to bed. I'd go but it's an hour drive and I don't feel like it would be very safe.

Litttlepinkegg · 25/03/2019 10:22

I’ve had to be productive this morning got estate agent round in a minute had to clean house top to bottom with toddler ds in tow and dd of school sick! House surprisingly tidy and presentable need to keep it like this for next hour!

Flicketyflack · 25/03/2019 10:22

Just started watching A star is born on Rakuten!

Not much going on here today 🤣

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 25/03/2019 10:22

Hoovering upstairs. It’s such a faff. And that bastard Henry constantly gets stuck then sits there helplessly with the stupid passive aggressive smirk until I rescue him. Twat.

UbbesPonytail · 25/03/2019 10:24

I need to get ready to see a friend for lunch. I’ve been up since 5, already done housework and had a conference call at 9 so now I just want to go back to bed, not get in the shower.

Corneliusmurphy · 25/03/2019 10:24

Oh god everything! But I did a yoga dvd for the first time in months (I’ve been crippled with plantar fasciitis) so I’m feeling really quite zen about it and sipping a green tea...

chocolatelog · 25/03/2019 10:25

@Wellfuckmeinbothears 😂 that made me giggle.

@cardibach take note..don't buy a Henry 👎🏼

Currently sitting in the car park at my clients office, I had a separate conference call scheduled for 10.30 so I arrived here 45 mins early, but that's been moved so now I'm sitting here idly scrolling through MN and needing a wee.

I could call the client and offer to see him early but I can't really be arsed. Even though I suspect I'll be out of here in an hour, so, the sooner I go in...

Maybe one last refresh of active.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 25/03/2019 10:30

I've got to sort out some finance, and should really wash the carpet in the front room because one of the dogs (the arsehole one) ate so much rabbit poop yesterday that he was violently unwell on the carpet overnight. I've cleaned it all up but need to attack the leftover stain, but Monday MN is always my favourite. The dog looks thrilled with himself. Knob.

IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 25/03/2019 10:35

I've put a washload on, washed and dried up last night's dinner things (slattern), checked my bank statement, my emails and ebay and currently on mumsnet drinking tea, but I'm still in my dressing gown Blush. Have so many things I need to do but priority is showering, getting dressed then go outside to clear a blocked drain, lovely. My oven also needs a good clean, considering paying someone to come and do it.

Brilliantidiot · 25/03/2019 10:35

And that bastard Henry constantly gets stuck then sits there helplessly with the stupid passive aggressive smirk until I rescue him. Twat.

I work with Henry. He's one of 'those' who likes to look busy when in fact you're doing all the work. And he's always going off sick with ridiculous stuff like a blocked pipe, blown fuse or full bag because no other fucker can change a hoover bag where I work apparently, he's a lazy git with a great PR team. Arsehole.

I'm putting off doing anything. I've walked the dogs and sorted their beds and bowl out. I'm now sat on my arse ignoring the housework. 🤷

cardibach · 25/03/2019 10:53

Advice about Henry noted. Still haven’t moved. I’m also waiting to receive confirmation of the voluntary redundancy I applied for as work is so toxic it’s made me ill with stress and anxiety, but I think I may need to stop using that as a excuse to lie around in a daze.

Wejustdontknow · 25/03/2019 10:53

I am supposed to be doing the housework and an assignment today, so far I have watched an episode of a tv show I am repeating and currently sat watching two men fit a new radiator in my living room whilst scrolling mn, I had such productive thoughts for today 🤷🏻‍♀️

Elphame · 25/03/2019 10:53

I had 11 people staying this weekend.

I need to strip and change every bed in the house, collapse the air beds, remove the extensions from the dining table and track down all the dirty glasses and crockery.

Instead I'm reading Mumsnet.

MrsSpenserGregson · 25/03/2019 10:53

I'm putting off attacking a huge spreadsheet. MN is much more fun!

oohyoudevilyou · 25/03/2019 10:57

Batch cooking.
I've got 3.5 Kg mince sat on the counter and a big bag of vegetables, tinned tomatoes etc, just waiting to transform into chili, lasagne, spag bol etc to fill the freezer I defrosted yesterday....yesterday I wanted to batch cook and be a domestic goddess.
But today, my day off, I just want to be a mermaid. Or a unicorn. Or a five year old. Not a domestic fucking goddess.

GrumpyOldMare · 25/03/2019 10:58

Nothing.
Been into town, got my hair cut, picked up a few bits.
Now at home waiting for the guys to fix my fence.
Asda later.

JellicleCat · 25/03/2019 10:58

Trying to finish a uni essay due tomorrow. (Well probably closer to starting than finishing if truth be told). So far I have read the news thoroughly on line, had several cups of coffee, checked Facebook and as you can see am now on MN.
