I'll lighten things up for you OP.

Firstly...I finally have enough income to go home to the UK for a visit. After three and a half years in Oz!

Secondly...my play has been funded and will be performed just before Christmas here in Australia.

Thirdly....my DD who is a young teen has blossomed here in Oz...after struggling socially in the UK she has over the past 3 years here, built a bloody wonderful group of friends. Genuinely nice kids...lovely kids actually.

Henny, great news all round! Congrats on your play- must be great, Spuds, I feel my spirit animal is probably a meerkat. There is a bit of fun quiz on the internet about Harry Potter patronises which may help you identify yours if you have a spare few minutes. I am a stag! ( Puffs up with delusions of importance).

I’m hopeful more people will share good news, maybe I’m naive but it’s nice hoping :)

In late breaking good news, my husbands new phone just turned up. In even later bad news, it left again because I couldn’t sign for it as he had to.
