Am I a CF meal deal thief?

Calling morality police...
So, my boss has a set lunch. A sandwich, a chocolate bar, a drink. Exactly the same every day. I tend to go on lunch before him so offer to pick up his lunch. The dilemma is this - his sandwich isn’t in the meal deal. In fact it’s a cheap £1 sandwich which for some reason the gods of -Tesco- haven’t included. But the rest of his lunch is. So I take advantage of this and pick up my yummy £2.80 sandwich and that goes through with the other items as part of the deal.
So his lunch costs £3.10 which he gives me. Including my sandwich- which makes it qualify for the deal- it’s £4.10. So I essentially pay £1 for my £2.80 ‘naice’ Sandwich.
After many months of doing this it’s just occurred to me this may be morally dubious. He’s paying what he would pay if he went and got his own lunch. I’m buying the sandwich I would buy anyway. But he’s paying full price and I’m only paying £1. Am I a CF?? Confused

Is he paying the same as he would pay anyway? If so YANBU, if you scan it all together the deals come off automatically do you can't avoid it unless you do two transactions which seems like madness

No YANBU. He's getting his lunch delivered to him at no additional cost. You're taking advantage of a deal. Win win.

Meh, you're the one physically going out and buying it. I wouldn't worry about it. He's not getting cheated. Enjoy your 'naice' sandwich!

His lunch costs £3.10 which he pays. He's not paying any more than he would if he went himself. You get a cheap sandwich as your commission for collecting it!

Was thinking more I should share the ‘discount’... I usually count the extra Clubcard points as bonus for the legwork Grin

So your not charging him more just getting yours for cheaper? He isn't missing a deal or anything?

Nothing dubious about thatif you scan it all through on one transaction the till would do it automatically!

I'm guessing his sandwich is an egg or cheese one where actually the sabdwuch+crisps+drink would cost less than the meal deal.
Still, as your boss I'd want the best value for the whole shop and wouldn't get hung up about this

Go for it! If my friend/colleague regularly bought my lunch I'd think they were mad for not making use of the deals ( and the Clubcard points!)

Yes he’s paying the same, I’m just getting my £2.80 sandwich for a £1.

If you were getting my lunch then I'd be happy for you to take advantage of the deal. It's only sensible really.

Yes you are! If he's paying the same then in his position I'd be annoyed if you weren't effectively getting a discount

You also use your break to get his lunch so he doesn't have to use his going out to the shop. You deserve your fancy sandwich!

It depends if he chose his lunch off his own bat or was persuaded by into getting the meal deal by a wiley immoral subordinate you. Grin

Think of the Clubcard points as your reward for the act of collecting the lunch and the saving as paying for your time.

If he would be paying the same regardless then it literally doesn’t matter. He should get off his arse and get his own lunch to be honest. Although how is a £1 sandwich a drink and a bar of chocolate £3.10 seems really expensive but I’m a tight git Grin

Paying full price it could be #1. 20 for a bottle of Coke and £1 for a kit kat or whatever

@UnexpectedButExpected he has exactly the same sandwich and drink every day. Then gives me a choice of chocolate bars that he likes. I choose the one that’s in the deal over the one that isn’t... I’m an immoral insubordinate aren’t I?
