Nothing that great here. I've cleaned the kitchen & bathroom this morning, hoovered downstairs, done 3 lots of washing.

I've just had a bacon & mushroom sandwich and a cup of tea and I'll be getting dressed soon to take the dog for a walk and do a bit of training with him.

Depending how long that takes I might walk to the high street and see if the nail shop can fit me in.

Then home and change the bed & hoover the bedroom. I want to clear the dining table as it's piled with crap & clothes and have dinner at the table. Pork chops, mash & veg so nothing exciting there either today lol.

Then Netflix before bed.

Tomorrow will probably just be dog walking/training again and not a lot else.

Today we got up and sorted out the monthly finances.

We’re heading out to the shops to swap something then grab a quick lunch. Then a park with the kids.

Tonight we’re going to a Thai restaurant and maybe cinema.

Tomorrow we need to build ikea furniture and go and see a wedding venue.

MaMisled · 16/02/2019 13:45

Had a lovely 2 hour dog walk this morning. Tidied up, done 2 loads of washing. About to do food shop then cooking a curry. DD is home from uni and out shopping with other DD. DSD coming for dinner and I cannot wait to hear those 3 girls screaming with laughter later. When theyve been reminiscing for a few hours lll start to feel a tiny bit of resentment at not catching up on Dirty John but won't let them know that! Tomorrow will be long walk and a roast dinner.

SavageBeauty73 · 16/02/2019 13:50

I've had a very relaxing morning watching Legally Blonde with teenage DD. We're going to see Instant Family later. Tomorrow I'm going to my favourite pub for a roast with friends; none of my teenagers want to come 👍

emwithme · 16/02/2019 13:58

Put food shopping away
Ate bacon and eggs
Fed baby and put her down for nap
Ran away to bathroom. Currently mumsnetting from bubble bath

Remainder of weekend - chill with DH. Going to take baby to NCT class tomorrow to talk about our birth to the next group.

Roast dinner.

threeicklepickles · 16/02/2019 14:00

Done a tip run, collected gifts from DS2s pottery party. Will be spending the afternoon building DS1s new bunk bed.
Also got to clear out my car as picking up my new one tomorrow morning Grin

MyBaa · 16/02/2019 14:14

I'm in Oz so it's Saturday night here. Well no...actually it's 12.43 am so it's Sunday!

I went to the opening of a friend's exhibition today...had wine. Then came home and DD2 has her mate to stay so spent time cooking for them. DH was working this evening.

Now he's back and walking the dog. I'm off to bed. Tomorrow we're going to nephews birthday party.

Natsku · 16/02/2019 14:51

OH is cooking dinner as a belated Valentine's Day gift which has somehow morphed into him going down into the basement, telling me to put the oven on and put the meatballs in Hmm Shall drink some wine later and eat my chocolates and not share them.
Just been playing volleyballoon with DD, the baby is busy trying to figure out how to open the stair gate, and the cat is in a bad mood so we're all avoiding her.

Tomorrow DD has Circus School and I have no plans except for emptying the 2nd drawer of my desk, which shouldn't take long as it's mostly cables for things I can't remember so straight in the bin.

CottonSock · 16/02/2019 14:57

Took dd1 to a class, dd2 for walk and play ground. Small supermarket shop and lunch. Girls played for a bit and dd2 napping so I've also escaped for a bath. Said we will make play doh later. Hopefully dh will get home from work for a bit

SpoonBlender · 16/02/2019 15:31

DP made full breakfast, I made the coffee. Enjoyed a little chat.

Sat around feeling ill - this long-lasting cold has now transmogrified into a ball-of-clag-in-the-throat feeling that makes me slightly queasy.

Investigated the bedroom sink mixer tap which I saw wet around - bloody thing has bust a seal up in the 'can't maintain' bit. It was always cheap and nasty, so I've closed the iso valves on it and ordered a proper ceramic-disk one. Ouchy price. Need to sand and revarnish the wooden vanity too.

Took the washing out that DP had put in. Nearly hung it outside but dressing gown so... inside it is.

Listened to some EDM to try and pep myself up a bit. Didn't really work.

Ordered some more coffee from my favourite shop (Red Monkey Coffee, more than ten years a customer). Their decaff Colombian is amazing, only nice decaff beans ever.

DP's now out for a wander in the sunshine, I've begged off. Sigh.

Interspersed with a bunch of Mumsnet.

LilaJude · 16/02/2019 15:35

Had a coffee in bed and did the crossword, went for a long walk, had a pub lunch, now having tea and a biscuit before making chilli for dinner. One of DH’s pals might pop round for dinner if a training thing of his finishes in time.

Tomorrow we have family coming for Sunday lunch, then probably another walk, then a lazy afternoon reading.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 16/02/2019 15:36

I'm at home with the kids, DH is working a long day. The kids haven't been well at all and are still getting over the worst of it. I've recently had tests for breast cancer and found out a few days ago that I don't have it, so today is the first time in a long time I can mentally relax.

Luckything50 · 16/02/2019 15:40

Have come up to Camden Market with my 2 12yo Dds and 15yo ds. They have disappeared and, for the first time in many years I’m feeling redundant. Am sitting with a coffee on mumsnet and wondering what to do with the day. A novelty. Think I might go and drink gin Grin

miggeldysthepres · 16/02/2019 15:41

Good news choc!
I'm spending the entire day in bed. Have had a horrendous sicky bug for past 2 weeks, thought I was getting better until it came back. Or maybe it's a second one. Managed to drift off for a bit - dreamt I was at a Chinese buffet with an ex boyfriend and he was presurizing me to go up for food....woke up in a panic 🤣

cliffdiver · 16/02/2019 15:44

This morning I washed the school uniforms so they're ready for after half term.

Made 2 lots of soup as I realised the curry powder I put in the first batch went out of date in 2013 Confused

DH and DDs have gone to meet friends at the park and I'm on the sofa with tea, a box of Malteasers and Titanic.

Dinner is crusted cod - not sure what with and when DDs are in bed I'll try and persuade DH to watch the end of Titanic.

Tomorrow DH is working so DDs and I will probably go to a NT site or the local zoo.

JBFletcherismyaunt · 16/02/2019 15:45

I love these threads! I’m laid up with a broken ankle and leg so watching trashy tv while DCs have gone off for a fun day at their grandparents house. That’s great news about your tests Chocolate

IJustLostTheGame · 16/02/2019 15:45

I have taken dd for new school shoes
And I'm now listening to DH's toxic grandma talk about the war.

ghostyslovesheets · 16/02/2019 15:46

got up and had breakie

walked to the gym (hour and a half round trip) did a weight session and a short run

waiting for the bedding to dry then I'm ironing with Netflix

Picking eldest up from a school trip at 12:30am so planning on a slow day tomorrow with some walking later on

OrangeSamphire · 16/02/2019 15:49

I always think other people have much more exciting weekends than us so this thread is comforting!

So far I’ve done some laundry and some gardening with the dog.

DH has replaced the kitchen tap and taken stuff to the tip. He has gone to the gym with DD and then to Waitrose while I nurse sick DS on the sofa.

Dog walk later. Tomorrow is off to the dog trainers, housework and if I’m lucky some time to write. Or at least read.

Hunkyd0ry · 16/02/2019 15:56

Did the food shop this morning, sorted a load of washing, then played with toddler DD before making a paper mache and newspaper volcano for her dinosaurs.

We are now watching “How to train your dragon” and having snacks before sorting dinner.

Tomorrow we are going shopping and hopefully painting the volcano- the latest request was for it to be pink!

Sowing747 · 16/02/2019 15:57

Gosh some of you work very hard at weekends!

DH and DS15 had late nights so had long lie-ins. I had a bath while DD12 made her breakfast. Just finished lunch out with a friend and our DDs and about to go around the shops. Will be making quiches tonight and probably watching iPlayer with DH.

Tomorrow morning DH is going to an away rugby match with DS while I attend a home match with DD. Afterwards we should be going back to another player's parent's house for lunch.

Looking forward to reading about what others get up to later this evening when I've sat down!

Eliza9917 · 16/02/2019 16:04

Great news @chocolate :)

I haven't made it out for a walk yet. Did some training indoors. Am working on making the two dogs leave other alone/stop play fighting/playing roughly. Put another load of washing in, hoovered the bedroom & changed the bed. Going to hang that last lot of washing in a min and then start on the table.

But I've got a puppy snoring on my feet so..

adaline · 16/02/2019 16:10

I'm at work all weekend. DH has done housework, walked the dog, done some shopping and had a nap!

yamadori · 16/02/2019 16:12

Today I have been digging up a large tree and moving it. Currently sitting down, knackered, covered in mud and drinking tea. Tomorrow I am having a lie-in and eating steak pie.

Eminybob · 16/02/2019 16:19

Big fat nothing much.
I went out last night for the first time since having DS2 and feel pretty rough today.
I popped into town earlier to get the M&S valentines meal deal for DH and me tonight as he was playing football on Thursday so we haven’t “celebrated” yet.
Currently DS1 is watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, DS2 is napping, and DH and I are on our phones when we should really be cleaning the house.

Eliza9917 · 16/02/2019 16:20

Gosh some if you work very hard at weekends!

Some of us did sod all housework all week so have to do it all on the weekend Grin and last weekend so it's all backed up
