I used to love this show but the current series is utter shite. Badly written, full of tropes and cliches, appalling dialogue, crap acting and totally unrealistic situations. Think series link is being deleted swiftly.

It’s a bit shit but I watch it for the nostalgia.

PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 21:48

This series is disappointing Sad

PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 21:49

And I hate this potential “romance” between Karen and Adam Hmm

FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle · 28/01/2019 21:49

The current episode is set at a music festival, David unwittingly eats hash cookies and gets completely stoned, tripping to a soundtrack of Jefferson Airplane. I mean COME ON!!

I'm quite enjoying it. Although I am finding Pete annoying

Flowersonthewall · 28/01/2019 21:50

Ah I'm enjoying it!

PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 21:51

It looks like the shittest festival ever too Hmm

RayRayBidet · 28/01/2019 21:51

I loved it before but since it came back it's just the Adam show.
Really would prefer it to be equal like it used to be.
Especially would like more David. He's my favourite.

FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle · 28/01/2019 21:53

Oh and there it is. Adam and Karen stoned and snogging, but WAIT! they’re interrupted at a crucial moment by Jen who tells her she’s got cancer, aaaarrrgh!

Stardustinmyeyes · 28/01/2019 21:54

I noticed quite a while ago that Adam's shoulders are too small. Can't unsee it anymore so I haven't watched this new series

dayswithaY · 28/01/2019 21:55

I too only watch it out of nostalgia but I cringe all the way through. Please, please don't let Adam and Karen get together it's so wrong.

PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 21:55

Adam and Karen have known each other way too long to be getting up to that.

FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle · 28/01/2019 21:56

Oh my word I’ve just seen what you mean about tiny shoulders 😩

OP posts:
PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 21:59

David is by far the best character he’s such a good actor.

jessstan2 · 28/01/2019 22:05

I'm loving it!

I think I must have missed a bit last week though - can anyone tell me, has David broken up with his nice, rich girlfriend? Tonight I couldn't get why he was in a hotel at the beginning and at the end, he looked as though he had nowhere to go. Poor bloke, so much goes wrong for him.

Gutted about Jenny, bless her.

Last week I thought Adam and Karen would get together, well they haven't quite yet but it looks as though it is on the cards.

Nottheboreworms · 28/01/2019 22:11

Adam is the least attractive man ever. I don't understand why women perpetually throw themselves at him.

dayswithaY · 28/01/2019 22:11

David ended it with Nicky as he couldn't handle being financially supported by her. He is now broke and living in a Travelodge. Or his car.

HoyedAroundLikeAnEmptyTracksui · 28/01/2019 22:15

I'm loving it !

marvellousnightforamooncup · 28/01/2019 22:34

Dayswith, that's a bit Partridge isn't it?

EdWinchester · 28/01/2019 22:36

We decided, for nostalgia, to try and watch this series.

We are already out. It's too awful.

Scifi101 · 28/01/2019 22:43

I'm enjoying it.

Stardustinmyeyes · 28/01/2019 22:44

@FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle
You'll never be able to unsee it now. No matter what programme he's in

PooleySpooley · 28/01/2019 22:45

The only character James Nesbitt can play is Adam.

All his roles are the same.

FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle · 28/01/2019 22:48

James Nesbitt is a strange looking guy, when he first got the hair transplant he looked like a thumb in a wig, he seems to have lost weight and has the shoulders of a 10 year old boy 😩.
I could never understand how him and Pete were supposed to be best mates from school but Adam has an NI accent not a Manchester one.

OP posts:
jessstan2 · 28/01/2019 22:54

I saw James Nesbitt in a drama two or three years ago in which he played a psychopathic murderer. He was very good, quite convincing.
