Sick of sitting in pee!!!!!

Has anyone got any advice on how to make DS (10) lift the bloody toilet seat up when he pees!!!! Sick to death of sitting on the loo only to feel my bottom wet! It’s driving me absolutely batty! I wouldn’t mind if he had a good aim but he couldn’t pee straight to save his life 😡

Sick of DS not lifting the toilet seat!

Call him in each and every time you need the loo and make him clean it up, remind him then that this could have been avoided if he would just lift the seat.

TigerDroveAgain · 12/01/2019 22:09

You could check the seat first. And give him instructions

Deadringer · 12/01/2019 22:09

Keep the seat up?

PositivelyPERF · 12/01/2019 22:09

Every time he leaves the toilet or you go in, make him go in and clean it. He’s old enough to sort it out.

Alfiesmom74 · 12/01/2019 22:10

Wouldn’t mind doing that but it’s too cold 😂

Omg im struggling with this aswell. 2 boys 4 and 6 and they never lift the seat. Sick of it.

LadyLannister · 12/01/2019 22:14

I could have written this thread myself. My 10 year old DS is exactly the same - doesn’t matter how many times I tell him to lift the seat, he never bloody listens.

Deadringer · 12/01/2019 22:15

I mean leave it up after you use it.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 12/01/2019 22:15

Put ping pong ball in the toilet give him something to aim at. That’s what my Aunty did with 4 boys!!

Goldmandra · 12/01/2019 22:17

I agree with making him clean it every single time. He will soon realise it is easier to lift the seat than keep having to clean it. At the moment it is your problem and he isn't bothered. Make it a problem for him and he'll soon learn.

trashcanjunkie · 12/01/2019 22:17

I insist on them sitting. They tried to refuse to I said they’d have to clean the toilet so they chose to sit.

Somewhereovertherainbow13 · 12/01/2019 22:18

I have 3 sons and I’ve learnt it’s easier just to keep the seat up

Alfiesmom74 · 12/01/2019 22:18

That’s a thought. I thought about waiting till he goes to the loo for a number 2 and getting in there before him and spraying water on the seat to see how he likes it.

I have a 3 year old and we got a plastic urinal thing from Wish and it's great he wee in that every time so no wee on seats for me!

Alfiesmom74 · 12/01/2019 22:19

I could leave a football in there and he’d still miss lol!

They need to face consequences for not being hygienic. If he refuses to listen to your directives, appropriate punishments are in order.

Isleepinahedgefund · 12/01/2019 22:22

Make him clean it up every time. His future partners will thank you for training him.

Thesuzle · 12/01/2019 22:24

Table tennis ball in the loo. Gets them to aim better !

WhatNow40 · 12/01/2019 22:25

I've literally just complained about the same thing. DS7 came in to our room before bed, then used the en-suite. I said as he was walking in 'remember to lift the seat'. Did he fuck.

It's my bathroom, he has one all to himself. And it's covered in piss. I refuse to go in there and clean, DH does it. He'd love a urinal, but with those ones from Wish, who empties the bugger? And I guarantee he'd still miss.

PerfectlyPetty · 12/01/2019 22:29

Yep - three sons and a dh - i've given up.

You have to play to the odds and i'm outnumbered 4 to 1 in terms of wanting the seat up or down.

Unihorn · 12/01/2019 22:34

My husband sits down to see so my toilet stays wonderfully clean. I grew up with 3 brothers though Sad

lotusbell · 12/01/2019 22:37

This is me! Or rather, this is my nearly 12 year old! Make him come and clean it up every time but he still does it. Have threatened to nip in just before he goes for a poo and pere on the seat and see how he likes it!

AcrossthePond55 · 12/01/2019 22:37

Yup, seat up (2 boys + DH). It's a losing battle. The only other choice is to have your own loo with a deadbolt on it!

StoppinBy · 12/01/2019 22:39

I would make him clean it - my hubby (and his dad when he visits!!) gets pee on the floor and on the rim of the toilet - it's disgusting!! I make my hubby clean it, I am not cleaning someone else's pee up unless they are my children.
