Just wanted to share with you...
I'm a wife, mum and luckily working very part time... I lead a relatively happy life but cannot beat sleeplessness.
Thanks for reading at this time of the night.

Me too. Got to get up in a few hours too!

Neptunesgiraffe · 07/01/2019 02:43

Me! I'm always like this after having time off. And the more I can't sleep the more I'm worried I will sleep through my alarm tomorrow which makes me not be able to sleep. Its a vicious circle!

loubluee · 07/01/2019 02:43

Me too alarm is set for 6am too

lljkk · 07/01/2019 02:43

I am annoyed about this too.

I have a sinus cold & can't quite get comfortable. Also remnants of jetlag & the cold meant I couldn't exercise which may be a factor.
Arrggh... I barely got out of bed on Saturday.

ISmellBabies · 07/01/2019 02:44

Hi, me too for most of that. Someone said some really nasty stuff to me today and it really upset me (I have pnd so quite easily upset tbh) and now I just can't fall asleep. And I keep crying. I need to get a grip!

I'm laying in bed mumsnetting on my phone. What are you doing? Are you up and about or in bed too? Rest is probably better than nothing if you can't sleep.

AssassinatedBeauty · 07/01/2019 02:44

Yep. I'm also worse after time off, everything gets right out of sync.

W0rriedMum · 07/01/2019 02:45

Me too! I have back to school work anxiety!

W0rriedMum · 07/01/2019 02:45

Strike through failure there..

Up at 6am too..

PossibiliTea · 07/01/2019 02:47

Can’t sleep and will have to be up shortly with DD Brew help

Crazyaboutdots · 07/01/2019 02:48

I can see I'm not alone! Thanks for letting me know.
It feels better with you next to me now Wink

Bipolar here..... Resting in bed, keep trying to sleep but my eyes keep pinging open.

PossibiliTea · 07/01/2019 02:49

@ISmellBabies I hate that! I’d be exactly the same. Was it someone you know? Or someone irrelevant

Loveweekends10 · 07/01/2019 02:49

I would be better getting up, making a camomile tea but I just lay here and it makes it worse!

lljkk · 07/01/2019 02:50

I killed an hour looking at these (this magic eye pic is quite nice, but I think it didn't quite reproduce right on left side).

Nothing good on radio. I will try to find a podcast to listen to & try to settle down again. I have NO Hope of that working, but need to try. Under normal conditions I can get by on 2-3 hrs sleep, but not so robust with this stonking head cold.

ib1408 · 07/01/2019 02:53

I'm exactly the same, always awake around this time!
I've started a blog to occupy myself, it's in the super early stages but I'd appreciate any feedback and sharing of similar experiences on it!

Thanks Mum community Smile

AlliKaneErikson · 07/01/2019 02:54

I’m with you. DH snoring away which is really helping...

SoleBizzz · 07/01/2019 02:56

I am a good sleeper but since DS left school in July I am awake all night. I am staying awake, not cooking then go sleep tonight early. Hope it bloody works.

I want my life back!

SoleBizzz · 07/01/2019 02:57

Not cooking .. buy easy foods for us to snack on. I need a treadmill badly now!

Felicitycity · 07/01/2019 02:59

Can I suggest you all put your phones off!! Lol. Pity I can't follow my own advice!
Is the magic pic one of those that goes 3d if you look at it right? I've never seen those on screen.

Crazyaboutdots · 07/01/2019 03:01

ISmellBabies I'm lying in bed too, tablet in hand and I agree that at least resting is better than nothing but honestly... Who can function properly without sleeping! Zombie mode tomorrow... again.

Me too! Just had shower in Lush sleepy shower gel and covered myself in the lotion. Starting to feel tied now so going to put my phone down to try and get three hours kip Confused

Bunbunbunny · 07/01/2019 03:03

Oh the irony of the advert showing on my page right now

I can't sleep! Insomnia is driving me crazy... Anyone else on the same team?
ItWentInMyEye · 07/01/2019 03:04

@Bunbunbunny give the gift of sleep?

I'm awake because 'd'p is snoring like an absolute bastard beside me, and I'm on an air bed 😐

Bunbunbunny · 07/01/2019 03:07

My DH is snoring too, it's not too bad. I think the lush lotion is starting to kick in, I do recommend it as it helps give you that heavy feeing before you drop off. I also found some good ear plugs on amazon for when DH has a cold, when it's really bad I have kicked him into the spare room before!

Bunbunbunny · 07/01/2019 03:08

Ouch missed the air bed bit, could you bounce your DH off it so you get a break from the snoring?
