Those cuddly carrots will be under the child's bed in a box of tut in 6 month's time.

Both my local stores still have stock. The media hype is what gets them selling.

I saw the sharp-elbowed middle classes rioting politely in Waitrose last year over the obligatory Heston Blumenthal seasonal invention, which was, as far as I can remember, a giant Brussels sprout made of out green chocolate that you melted with a hot sauce to reveal something. It was absolutely disgusting but DH feels it is not Christmas without a Heston mince pie that tastes of pine floor-cleaner or the like.

Something else to add to the vast confused list of things I don't "get"

Buy one, drive to the tip and put it in landfill. Cut out the middle man.

There are times when I feel totally out of step with the rest of the human race (or a large chunk of it). Why would ANYONE want this thing? It’s that bloody meerkat all over again.

We bought the 3.99 pack for our dog, he loved chewing them last year! Found the remains of one of them under the sofa last month lol.

Why on earth anyone wants a giant £20 carrot though I have no idea!
