Kerrymum, we don't have the paper loo seat covers here because THEY COST TOO MUCH MONEY and our health as toilet users doesn't matter when there is profit involved!
I work in a hospital and in our outpatients department there is a SINGLE toilet between 50 members of staff, men AND women, which opens straight out into a corridor.
So, not only can you not get in it most of the time, you can't relax long enough for a no. 2 (which was probably hospital management's intention ) as there's always someone hovering outside, but it is usually in a DISGUSTING state and more often than not either has (a) no loo roll, or (b) a loo roll sat on top of the sanitary bin (very hygienic), or (c) no soap or paper towels.
Domestic Services only clean at night, so you can go all day like that, and apparently for 'health and safety reasons' they are not allowed to clean bodily fluids, so if there is a puddle of pee on the floor (has been before) or any shit, one of the nurses has to clean it up. (That also applies up on the wards, by the way, and includes blood and vomit).
Then we have to go and poke patients in the privates. Well, I don't personally, but you know what I mean. Hurrah for the Health Service.
(I think I need to think about my current propensity to either start or reply to poo related threads )
