AIBU?
to send in crisps when school have requested "Nik Naks"...
PyongyangKipperbang · 25/10/2018 09:44
....in protest because they actually want Knick Knacks?
The newletter and text reminder are both spelled Nik Naks, and it has given me the proper rage. Actually they dont want knick knacks at all, they want jumble sale type stuff....clothes, toys, books etc so that has pissed me right off too.

Please do this! Practice your best confused face when they ask you why you’ve donated crisps.
PyongyangKipperbang · 25/10/2018 10:02
I already have a bit of a reputation as a trouble maker so I might as well :o
Luckily I have known the school secretary for years and I know she will get it!
IsTheRainEverComingBack · 25/10/2018 10:05
PyongyangKipperbang I don’t have kids at school yet, but I fear I will become you when I do
PyongyangKipperbang · 25/10/2018 10:06
Go for it! It comes to something when the Head teacher scuttles away when she sees me coming instead of the other way round :o
MaruMaru · 25/10/2018 10:15
Is it a request for those foul crisps that looked a bit like stunted Twiglets???? Send some of those in, if they still exist.
PyongyangKipperbang · 25/10/2018 10:17
There is a shop in town that sells near its sell by boxes of crisps and biscuits, if anywhere sells them it will be there! I will pop down later and have a gander!
SwizzelsFizzers · 25/10/2018 10:19
Send a text back- I can't get nik naks, will frazzles do?
BarbaraofSevillle · 25/10/2018 10:21
I quite like Nik Naks! They do still exist and they are sold in just about all supermarkets plus pound shops, Home Bargains, Farm Foods etc.
OhDoGrowUp · 25/10/2018 10:22
Yanbu. You have MN’s full support.
Obviously send them something useful also.
PyongyangKipperbang · 25/10/2018 10:25
Wondering........would it be a step too far to print a label saying Knick Knacks and stick it to the packaging?
It would wouldnt it?

Haha
I keep being asked by a colleague to "bare with her"... but it's too cold, and she's far younger and more beautiful than I am!
WhatWouldPennyDo · 25/10/2018 10:34
I am going to buy some nik naks at lunch. Colouring high here I come...
(Actually I don't know anything about the contents but I adore a crappy snack)
DonDrapersOldFashioned · 25/10/2018 10:37
Rib n saucy nick naks are the dirty food of the gods.
Oblomov18 · 25/10/2018 10:39
God I love Nik naks. far too good for kids.
Scampi - green packs? Yum. My fave.
Spicy - orange packs. good.
Ribs - purple packs. also yummy.
Do not give school anything. Numpties. And definitely not Nik naks. Far too good for schools.
What shite do they really want?
Oblomov18 · 25/10/2018 10:41
I'm at work here. I've now got a MAJOR scampi nik nak bag craving.
WhenDoISleep · 25/10/2018 10:45
I now have a craving for a Nik Nak sandwich - spicy Nik Naks on white bread. Mmmm. Unfortunately I have just had my shopping delivered and didn't order any.
