....in protest because they actually want Knick Knacks?

The newletter and text reminder are both spelled Nik Naks, and it has given me the proper rage. Actually they dont want knick knacks at all, they want jumble sale type stuff....clothes, toys, books etc so that has pissed me right off too.

It's got to be th scampi Nik Naks as well.

We are still chuckling everytime the '4 birth caravan' pops up on a FB sale site

😂

I’m not sure which bit would irk me more, ‘nik nak’ or them asking for ‘Knick knacks’ when that’s not what they actually want. I’d be SO tempted to send the crisps in and make some charity shops day by buying up all the ‘Knick knacks’ to send in.

...in reality I’d just 🙄🙄🙄 and send in what they actually want. People don’t know what they don’t know and they’re trying to raise money for the school/a charity.

I think YOU should send in the crisps though 😂

Gosh, yes, please do this, I am sniggering at their confused faces when you hand them in.

Yep. Do that. Hilarious.

This is absolutely the sort of thing I would do - complete with confused but innocent face. Halo

You MUST report back though...

Gosh think how hilarious it would be if a large percentage of parents did the same thing and they end up with boxes of the bastard things!!! Grin

BertrandRussell · 25/10/2018 11:01

As I said. Hilarious.

I’d ask them if gimcracks and gewgaws are also acceptable. They are baffoons twice over.

order one of those big boxes with 24 packs in or something :o

Why does everyone love the scampi ones? IMO they're horrible and smell like unwashed willies. I only like nice'n'spicy. Now need a Nik Nak emoji.

Please do it!

Also, I now really want a pack of the rib flavour ones - haven't had them in years!

Report

BarbaraofSevillle · 25/10/2018 11:30

We need to have a Nik Naks meet up so we can swap the ones we don't like. I know that the scampi ones smell slightly suspect but they're my favourite so would take those over the rib ones any day.

I’m a teacher and I’m cackling at this; send them in Grin
I once had to point out that a notice had been put in a local shop advertising that brick-a-brack would be available at our Christmas Fayre.
Turned out not to be some new-fangled sticklebricks Wink

Oh and I want some spicy nik naks too Grin

The scamp ones are the best, love them.

Wolfiefan · 25/10/2018 11:45

I completely misread this. I thought you were planning on sending crisps when the school had specified a particular savoury snack. Blush
Send them. Grin

This thread has just made me want Nik Naks in any flavour which is annoying seeing as I live overseas and don't have a hope in hell of getting any!

DanielRicciardosSmile · 25/10/2018 11:52

@Wolfiefan so did I.
