Sofas take way too long to arrive!

I ordered a sofa and an armchair from Next on August 2nd. They said it would be around 8 weeks (which I think is way too long anyway, but that's besides the point). Now they're saying they won't be ready until November 2nd. That's 13 weeks!

AIBU to think these shops take the piss with sofas? So sick of the broken one we currently have, it's scratchy and massively uncomfortable (and broken, as stated).

Find local sofa companies on eBay and order there.

We've had a cuddle chair and L shape sofa made to order from a shop based 4 cities away from us - both of which arrived within a week.

IME the big sofa companies charge 4 grand for a sofa which lasts the best part of 2 years before it starts to look old and haggered. They're made abroad with cheap shit materials and you're paying for it to be shipped and brought to you purely because the company doesn't want to source better materials or pay staff a proper wage.

You are also treated to the joy of constructing it.
