I've had a lovely day, we've spent the day at with family for a birthday and had a nice Chinese out and now we're all in our pjs in bed watching Netflix (Big Bang Theory) and relaxing. It's nice to have a nice Sunday.

*What have you all done?

Have a nice evening x

Shit , literally. I've had d& v all day.

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 07/10/2018 18:30

Boring as fuck! I’m not used to staying at her me all day but dh has been working ridiculously hard and needs a rest.

MereDintofPandiculation · 07/10/2018 18:30

2.5 hour committee meeting relieved only by chocolate and ginger biscuits and home-made elderflower cordial. And a lot of ribaldry - it's one of those committees where, once you've offered to do a job, you tend to be stuck with it for life.

kaytee87 · 07/10/2018 18:32

DH took toddler ds to soft play this morning while I did some painting. I then had a nice bath while ds napped.
This afternoon pottered around the house packing ds nappy bag & my work bag for tomorrow and making lunches while DS entertained himself mainly trashing his playroom.
We had steak pie, mash & veg for dinner and DH is currently running DS bath.
Once DS is in bed we'll tidy his playroom then relax before bed at 10 :)

Mummylin · 07/10/2018 18:38

Had a lovely day. Our town had a few marathons going on and for the first time in hIs life my ds ( adult ) entered the half marathon. I found it all very exciting, and all the hundreds of runners raised money for several different charities.

Shoobydooby09 · 07/10/2018 18:39

Kids activities this morning, then went to visit family on way home. Ironed school uniforms and my work clothes for the week whilst kids played. This afternoon made Sunday roast and not long finished bathing kids, it's their bedtime very soon and I'm sooooo looking forward to them going to sleep tonight Grin so I too can get in bed and just relax. DH working nights too. I'm very tired wasn't well yesterday still feeling the after effects Hmm

Sunnysidegold · 07/10/2018 18:44

I am slightly hungover which I haven't been in a long time. It's not great. Played with ds, snooze, we all watched bake off together and then I made a roast. I am now getting up the energy to bath children. Have a bit of work I meant to do today and I really can't face it. Might just catch up tomorrow.

GrumpyOldMare · 07/10/2018 18:46

Give me a large, strong, sweet mug of tea and no one gets hurt!!!!!!!

Been the day from hell at work! Short staffed as per usual, boss on our backs every minute. No communication. I'm sure they expect us to know everything without being told or trained! There's a few of us that are so close to saying ''stick it'' and walking out at the minute.

And breathe.

HeyMicky · 07/10/2018 18:48

Very chilled. Did the grocery shopping, everyone had a two hour nap and then PILs came over and entertained the DDs (and helped tidy the playroom) while I cooked a roast.

ApproachingATunnel · 07/10/2018 18:49

Had my mil over for dinner. Previously in the day i had to take passport pictures and i though they were allright, pretty allright. Untill mil saw them, she laughed and made a big deal out of how apparently the pics are horrible and i look like from a concentration camp in them.
She’s gone now and im now in tears, this is a running theme. I am just not good enough, not as slim (at size 8) or good looking as my sis, however the cow has no issues comming to my house and enjoying dinner with us and my company.
Had a good day untill she rocked up with her shitty attitude.

RobotOverlord · 07/10/2018 18:51

It’s been lovely! Cleaning, washing and ironing this morning which I could have lived without, but then did some baking with the kids while DH watched the football, had a lovely roast and wine and now watching The Mask before the kids bedtime (we’re on a mission to introduce them to our old favourites now they’re old enough) Once they’re in bed DH and I will be falling out over Mario Party Grin

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/10/2018 18:53

Lovely day. Got loads and loads done. Am happy to be doing sober October as I’m feeling fresh as a daisy all day. Long may it continue.

Flowers to those who’ve had a bad day.

TomHardysNextWife · 07/10/2018 18:54

I've been for a long dog walk with youngest DD (a rare treat), had coffee and danish with my ex BIL who I haven't seen for ages, did some light housework, went to see my Dad whose quite poorly and not coping too well at the moment, came home and had step-grandson (12) for a couple of hours. Cooked a roast dinner, loaded the dishwasher and have just sat down a cuppa to watch Countryfile and realised I've missed it. Oh well. It's been a nice day.

Chrisinthemorning · 07/10/2018 18:55

Lovely. But of a lie in 7.30am Grin. Relaxed morning with DS (6) playing, finished homework.
Went to Harewood, local stately home for a walk. Really enjoyed looking round a few food stalls, house, gardens, lunch, used bookshop, walk.
Home, had a nap. Nice tea of gammon, eggs, beans and rosti.
About to watch a film in bed on the iPad with treats bought at the food stalls while DH goes round to my Dad’s to watch rugby.
Just a lovely Sunday Grin

LBOCS2 · 07/10/2018 18:56

Mostly parented from the sofa today. I went out for my younger DSis' engagement drinks last night and got home at 5am 😳. The DC have done a LOT of self guided play and tv watching.

It's been quite nice though. They're really happy about it!

gamerchick · 07/10/2018 18:58

Pretty good. Although the husband did try to trick me into buying me a new winter coat. We came back with one for him and the bairn instead Grin

He does that, try to take me clothes shopping. I hate clothes shopping Angry

Wheelerdeeler · 07/10/2018 18:59

Found out a relative is an alcoholic and has recently been convicted for drink driving. Bit shocked. You never know.

Went grocery shopping. Made a roast. Just about to put small boy to bed.

Eminybob · 07/10/2018 19:03

We have had a lazy day. Didn’t get dressed and out the door until after lunch, then Dh, Ds and I went to the park so ds could ride his scooter for an hour or so.
Quick trip to B&Q to get a paint sample pot to touch up the nursery for our impending new arrival (we have recently moved ds out of there into the bigger room)
Then Tesco for a bit of a top up shop.
Home and watched toy story 2, had tea, and dh is just getting ds ready for bed and I’ll go up and read to him in a bit.
Just a nice family day.

NicoAndTheNiners · 07/10/2018 19:05

Spent all morning in the gym.
Came home had lunch
Did an hour of uni work.
Watched old dr who episodes in preparation for the new episode.

TeenagersandFurbabies · 07/10/2018 19:06

Busy, I was at work this morning. Once home I did some washing, drying then a weeks worth of ironing. Watched a bit of Dr Who. Changed the oil in the fryer. Cleaned the litter trays. Sorted some paperwork for a meeting on Tuesday. Had cuddles with Luna cat. Made roast gammon, egg & chips for dinner. Put my ironed stuff away. Now half watching Armageddon while mumsnetting on my kindle.

Hoopaloop · 07/10/2018 19:07

Ran just under 25km then did a bottle of chianti. Phat rav3

festiveissues · 07/10/2018 19:08

Awful. I think I’m depressed

Foofloofah · 07/10/2018 19:12

Had the grumpiest kids on my own all day while feeling unwell. Kids in bed now. I literally can’t feel my feet. Wish I had a cup of sweet tea and a box of Toffifee as I have no dinner.

Corneliusmurphy · 07/10/2018 19:14

Good, dsis treated dd to tickets to see Jacqueline Wilson this morning, I tagged along and whilst they were busy enjoyed a long walk in Kensington park amfollowed by a wander round (some) of the v&a. Joined them for lunch and then had a mooch round oxford street and regents street, finishing at the Xmas section of liberty’s. I touched about three baubles and am somehow smothered in glitter Grin
Looking forward to bedtime now!

Oddcat · 07/10/2018 19:15

I decided to jazz up an old mirror by covering the frame with pva glue and glitter . I now have glitter everywhere . Even the cat is sparkly Grin.

Never again !
