Basically my mam called today & said "Oh poor sis, she has a doc appointment this am, she isn't well yadda yadda"

"Oh, wassup with her then?"

"The poor pet, she got all burnt in the sun"

"Did she have suncream/barrier on?"

"No, sure she didn't know she was going to get burned did she?"

Welllllll forgive me for not pouring with sympathy Surely she knew the sun was splitting the stones.

I then told mam I had no sympathy for her, we all knew what the weather was like on Saturday, she lay in the sun for 4 hours in the heat, it was self inflicted, like a hangover & I never have sympathy for anyone with a hangover

I burnt once sitting out in a restaurant garden - I was wearing jeans but a strappy top. The sun was beating down on my neck but I didn't realise as the rest of me was in the shade. My bf spent the night dabbing me down with cool water which didn't impress him too much. I should have known better - I was 27 at the time .

Is it still raining in NI? Why do mothers give out all the health info on adult children, mil rings dh every so often with tales of stomach bugs.
