I am in bed with a flu like virus.

DP went to the shop to get pancake ingredients and apparently couldn’t find nasal spray or maple syrup.

Who the flip has golden syrup on pancakes? Should I LTB?

Why did I open this thread? I could kill for pancakes with golden syrup by have gestational diabetes do that’s a bit fat no no.

Eldest child had golden syrup on pancakes this morning. I was horrified. Youngest stuck with maple, she's now my favourite and I no longer trust eldest.

My rather Victorian like Grandad introduced me to that delicacy. Never had sugary treats at his at all, till I stayed over one night. I remember my eyes going like saucers at the naughty suggestion of putting syrup on toast, after all I'd only known it for baking at home. When I told my mum later what I'd had she never believed me! It's now one of my fav memories

Has he form for incompetence?
Does he understand the difference between maple and syrup?
Is he Canadian or British?
