Hi Everyone,
So I am new to this site as I have been recommended it for good advice.
My fiance admitted to cheating on me, he did it twice about 2 years ago with the same girl. I am heartbroken as we have been together for a long time and have a beautiful little girl Emilee together who is 3.
Anyway, my fiance was the main earner and I have called tax credits yesterday to explain he has moved out and I will now need to claim other benefits, and try to support my daughter. They said that the payments will be suspended until the new claim is worked out. I am panicking, how am I supposed to keep a roof over my daughter's head with just £82 child benefit every 4 weeks??! I need to apparently claim for income support, does anyone have any ideas how long this can take to set up? Also, any ideas how I can make the most out of my money and make it stretch further. I need a new cooker as my fiance has taken it with him and left me with a slow cooker, toaster and microwave. Any advice on healthy cheap meals and how to best manage my money. I'm so scared I will lose my house, I don't know how I am going to pay my rent which is due next week! Please help xxx

Hello everyone

We've had a number of reports from people concerned about this thread so, as we usually do in these circs, we're putting our heads round the door with some important reminders.

Right now we can't see any evidence to indicate that the OP isn't above board – if we did, we'd remove the thread straight away. But the truth is that, sadly, we at MNHQ can't know with 100% certainty that any poster is genuine, no matter who they are or how long they have been here. As frustrating as it is, we're not able to vouch for anyone here.

So we always ask everyone to remember that not everyone on the internet is who they say they are – and remind folk not to give more to another poster, either financially (in cash or gifts) or emotionally (in time or care and support) than they'd be prepared to lose if things went wrong.

Sorry to hijack your thread briefly there, OP – we really hope you get it all sorted soon.
