To think I’m going to die after eating lightly cooked edamame?

I lightly stir fried some edamame and ate them crunchy. Put the packet in the bin while tidying up and it says Caution:Do not eat raw. A quick check on Google reveals that raw edamame are poisonous. I now feel sick but it might be psychological. Am I going to die?

Thanks for this thread😊. This year DH grew Edamame beans, as l liked then when eating out. The crop has suffered from the drought and us being away.
No one told me not to eat them raw. So yesterday I picked a pod and ate a bean.
Up most of the night, couldn’t work out why. Now I know!!

I've often wondered how people discovered these plants that are poisonous unless properly cooked could be eaten. I remember watching a documentary about an indigenous tribe who had a staple food of wild cassava tubers which are deadly poisonous unless processed in the correct way. How did they work this out?

Don’t worry, I like raw bacon... still alive 😄. A lot of what we eat contains poisions, but in small quantities it has no effect.
