To love all the seasons?

There are so many threads at the minute with complaining about the seasons. AIBU to love them all?

Spring - the world waking up, crisp mornings, flowers watching the butterflies emerge.

Summer - sunshine (hopefully), holidays, long evenings, lovely days out, my birthday!
Autumn - bonfires, Halloween, cozy evenings playing board games, kicking through leaves.
Winter - snow, sledging, cozy jumpers, snugly scarves, evenings crocheting, Christmas (a lazy day with lovely food spent with family).

Every season has something lovely about it as far as I'm concerned. And if you hate a season, well it's not to long until the next one comes along!

I fully expect to be told I'm wrong (this is AIBU after all!)

I love them all too, we’ve had a proper winter, freezing cold with snow ⛄️, loved that!

A truly memorable hot summer which I loved and totally embraced the heat.

I’m looking forward to a cool crisp Autumn but am hoping for Summer to come back for a few more weeks.

Maybe we’re happy go lucky optimists who find the joy in everything Grin.

Apparently we are the only ones Holy mountain!!!

You're confused, just like people who claim to love cats and dogs, and use their left hand to write but their right foot to kick a ball, etc, etc.

Confoozled.

ILiveInSalemsLot · 19/08/2018 11:37

There’s things to hate and live about all of them. Focus on positives and get the most out of life is my motto.

Get some vitamin d too. It might help all those who start to feel down to when there’s more dark and dreary days.

Papergirl1968 · 19/08/2018 11:41

Me too! I like things about each season but as I don’t like being too hot or too cold, I probably enjoy autumn and spring most.
I get a bit bored with each season a few weeks in and start looking forward to the next one.
I love the autumn colours, the falling leaves, and the crisp air.
I like the frost and snow, at least until it turns to slush. And Christmas.
I love to see the first daffodils coming out and being able to dry washing outside.
I like going to the coast and paddling in the sea. Er, I’m trying to think what else I like about summer! I hate hot nights when you can’t sleep. I guess summer is probably my least favourite, at least when it’s been scorching like this summer.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/08/2018 11:43

I love them all too, but despise long periods of wet weather in any season. This summer has been amazing, I feel properly ‘summered’ and ready for autumn now!

foxycleopauper · 19/08/2018 11:44

Totally agree! I'm feeling ready for autumn now Smile

RedDwarves · 19/08/2018 11:45

All of the seasons are great here in Australia, but February and August can take a hike. Foulest months on the calendar.

WhatAmISupposedToBeDoing · 19/08/2018 11:47

I dislike them all. I am a mardy bastard.

Bluelady · 19/08/2018 11:47

I'm kind of with you but I'd quite like January and February to be removed from the calendar.

greensnail · 19/08/2018 12:01

I love all the seasons too, i especially love it when you can just start to feel the weather changing and the next season is on the way. I do feel we missed out on spring this year though. We seemed to go straight from winter to summer. Was great to have a proper winter and a proper summer though.

OldGreyBoots · 19/08/2018 12:09

I agree! I'm generally a grumpy sod about most things, but I do get excited about every season Grin

mimibunz · 19/08/2018 12:16

I love proper seasons but sometimes find the British seasons sort of roll into each other. Fresh, cold, colder, fresh.

NeverHadANickname · 19/08/2018 12:29

I like them all too but especially the changing seasons so as one is ending and coming in to a new one. I'm looking forward to things cooling down now and the colours starting to change.

HolyMountain · 19/08/2018 12:41

I do love the change in the light ; September /October late afternoon light is beautifully golden when the sun shines, it’s sublime.

Yoksha · 19/08/2018 12:44

I too love all the seasons. To do so IMHO for me is a triumph that I actually love life now. It's only taken me to reach 62 to discover this.
I love seeing the changing seasons of colour in the garden.

IrenetheQuaint · 19/08/2018 12:46

I love all the seasons as long as the weather is properly suited to the season. Intermediate grey damp days are horrid, though.

VioletCharlotte · 19/08/2018 12:52

I've learnt to love them all. Life's too short to spend your time wishing it was summer/ autumn or whatever, live in the moment. I've found things I love about every season -

Summer - sunshine, light evenings, being outside, wild flowers
Autumn - the colours of the leaves and berries, darker nights and feeling cosy, picking blackberries, Halloween
Winter - Christmas lights, crisp, cold days, hibernating, snuggly jumpers,
Spring - lighter mornings/ evenings, spring flowers, blossom in the trees

Of course, there are things I don't like too, but try my best not to dwell on these.

xJessica · 19/08/2018 12:59

I love them all, as long as they're proper seasons! I loved this past winter and earlier this summer although since the school holidays started it's not been so nice and now it just feels like October half term- which I wouldn't mind, if it WAS October! I'd love some more proper summer days before the summer is past and they're back at school.

I love the autumn with the type of sunlight it has on proper autumn days, I love the colours and the coal fire.

RocketPockets · 19/08/2018 13:04

I love he changing seasons. By the end of summer I'm really looking forward to autumn and likewise towards the end of each season. By the end of winter/going into spring I'm desperate for summer! Really excited about autumn this year and the more I think about it I realise I love it every year!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 19/08/2018 13:05

YANBU. I thought exactly the same when I saw another season thread earlier.

I think autumn is probably my favourite if I had to choose, but I also love all of them. It would be boring to have the same weather all year round. Each season has its benefits. And change is nice.

I did find the hot weather very hard work health wise but I have tried hard not to moan too much about it.

To be honest I don't see the point in getting worked up about it anyway as there's really nothing anyone can do about the weather. I know it does make some people physically or mentally unwell and I sympathise with that, but otherwise it seems that people might as well just make the best of it!

IllHaveALargeGlassOfRed · 19/08/2018 13:08

I'm not a fan of Autumn I must admit. Too fucking wet for my liking. Damp. Which is the worst for my asthma.

I love the autumn colours but I'd sooner enjoy it from indoors 😀

Love winter. Crisp mornings, bright blue skys, I especially love driving to work in the mornings when I pass a particular part of the road surrounded by frosted pine trees. It always makes me think of Alpine woodlands.

Dahlietta · 19/08/2018 13:13

I like all the seasons, but I don't like proper heat so the summer is my least favourite as it's likely to be unpleasantly hot. If that doesn't happen (like last year!), then I like all seasons too Grin.

AustralianMumof2 · 19/08/2018 13:14

RedDwarves, I dread Feb alllll year long. Horrendous!

Whisky2014 · 19/08/2018 13:19

Yanbu!
