To love all the seasons?

There are so many threads at the minute with complaining about the seasons. AIBU to love them all?

Spring - the world waking up, crisp mornings, flowers watching the butterflies emerge.

Summer - sunshine (hopefully), holidays, long evenings, lovely days out, my birthday!
Autumn - bonfires, Halloween, cozy evenings playing board games, kicking through leaves.
Winter - snow, sledging, cozy jumpers, snugly scarves, evenings crocheting, Christmas (a lazy day with lovely food spent with family).

Every season has something lovely about it as far as I'm concerned. And if you hate a season, well it's not to long until the next one comes along!

I fully expect to be told I'm wrong (this is AIBU after all!)

I love them all Glen - ne reason I adore England is they are so pronounced here. I loved the heat of summer - the long evenings sitting outside by candlelight with friends, walking along the river, reading in the garden, the dragonflies and butterflies and seaside days.
I'm loving this cusp of turning into autumn, Picked my first apples yesterday and made a crumble. I love that switch from salads to soups and cinnamony bakes.

I agree with you, OP. Each season has its own bit of magic to offer. I would hate to live in a climate which had year round warm weather and sunshine. Of the all the seasons, Winter is probably my least favourite season, especially mid January-February when Christmas is long gone and Spring seems far away. I don't hate it though, I just cross my fingers and hope for a couple of snow days.

I have found my people thank goodness!
Loved the summer - hope it carries on. Looking forward to Autumn too

I totally agree. I love all seasons in their turn and think we are very lucky in the UK to have very distinct seasons!

Ooh, apple crumble. My favourite pudding!

I love the transition from lovely salads to delicious roasts as we move to autumn. And the blackberries appearing, waiting to be picked. All the beautiful plums on the trees and the pears ripening.

I like them all too. I used to hate the Winter with a passion. Used to make me feel miserable and don't like being cold, used to feel sorry for people that had a January baby etc
Then guess what? I HAD a January baby so now I love the Winter too

No, I love them all too. I can't stand Christmas or my birthday, so don't agree on those fronts Grin, but yes, I'd miss the seasons if I didn't live in the UK.

Having said that, I think the seasons are flattening out even here as the climate changes and becoming less different from each other.

I love them too and the change of every season has me appreciating how lucky we are to live in beautiful country with such different seasons, it must be boring to live somewhere where the weather is the same all year round.

February can be but grim here but the rest of it should be embraced!

I used to be a real Autumn/ early Winter person and lived for the end of Summer. Then I learnt to really like Summer. And now I've discovered lots of nice things about Spring as well. I still really struggle with late Winter though. The days just seem to drag endlessly.

But there are such lovely indoors hobbies for winter.

I love crocheting blankets and making little dolls and teddies. And drinking hot chocolate liberally laced with Baileys!

I'm with the positive posters on the thread at the start, you're not the only ones!
Love winter for crisp snow, throws, crackling fires and Christmas.
Love spring for the start of new life, flowers starting to peek out again.
Love summer for lazy hot days, beach walks, picnics in the park...
Love autumn for the gorgeous colours of the leaves and the anticipation of it'll soon be Christmas..... Grin
