I need new towels. DH and I have had our trusty old bath towels for donkeys years but they’re the best ever - soft, big, absorbent...

But the time has come for new ones, the old ones are getting embarrassing.

Recommendations please for best places to buy towels that will fulfil all my criteria?!

I like King of Cotton - I have these:

The jumbo bath sheets. They’re gorgeous.

Merryoldgoat · 12/08/2018 15:36

They’re like big clouds.

I’ve been using Wilko ones for about 10 years now and they’re still going strong. Soft, minimal fading.

LakieLady · 12/08/2018 16:23

John Lewis Egyptian cotton.

They really stay soft and fluffy.

Cupoteap · 12/08/2018 16:25

Those kings of cotton ones look lush, and you can have them embroidered!!!

Bluewidow · 12/08/2018 16:25

Dunelm

UpstartCrow · 12/08/2018 16:26

Christy towels last for ever and ever.

FishingIsNotASport · 12/08/2018 16:26

TK Max or Home Sense.

WTActualF · 12/08/2018 16:27

We have a random selection of towels (Next, Debenhams, BHS, M&S and John Lewis) and the best ones are the John Lewis. Soft and fluffy but dry well. Actually my favs are the BHS ones but since they don't exist anymore, JL are next best.

Eminybob · 12/08/2018 16:27

I like Primark ones personally. Big, soft, great choice of colours, and very affordable so I have loads.

ShadyLady53 · 12/08/2018 16:27

Christy all the way for us.

100% bamboo white bath sheets. Had these ages and still in fab condition. The bamboo has antibacterial properties or something so can go a bit longer between washes.

FreiasBathtub · 12/08/2018 16:40

I got some Christy ones from BrandAlley recently and am v happy with them, and a really good price too (big reductions). They don't have the full collection though so depends if you like any of the styles they have in stock!

Bunbunbunny · 12/08/2018 16:44

I’ve just replaced mine with marks & sparks towels, really lovely

possumgoddess · 12/08/2018 16:57

Definitely Marks and Spencer for me.

Nanasueathome · 12/08/2018 16:59

I love White Company towels...bought from the outlet

Pearlton · 12/08/2018 17:04

Dunelm Egyptian cotton ones are fab and last ages. Not spendy either.

FarrahMoan · 12/08/2018 17:08

John Lewis for me. We recently moved and replaced all of our towels with new from JL bought with 20% off as a 'Special Buy'. Some of the old ones were almost 20 years old.

Vitalogy · 12/08/2018 17:08

Dunelm Egyptian cotton.

ParkheadParadise · 12/08/2018 17:09

John Lewis.
Soft and fluffy.

ChipInTheSugar · 12/08/2018 17:11

Another vote for dunelm - I've recently bought a new towel from Christys but can't bring myself to stop using my old dunelm one that is literally coming apart on the edges Blush

Bestseller · 12/08/2018 17:12

I don't know what I do wrong but I find "good" towels go hard and scratchy unless you tumble dry them. My softest ones are from Tesco, much nicer to use than my expensive ones.

RedneckStumpy · 12/08/2018 17:13

Hilton hotel bath towelsGrin

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 12/08/2018 17:14

Dunelm for me too

CaurnieBred · 12/08/2018 17:17

Still using John Lewis Jonelle Egyptian cotton towels that I bought in 1995.
