I work in a school and am on holiday till September. Aibu to dip due my long blonde hair green at the bottom? It looks great and ought to wash out by September

green, blue, red and hair dyes almost always stain the hair one, especially if it's been pre-lightened.

I'm sure it will look awesome, but be prepared to have the dyes ends cut off/dyed over dark if/when it doesn't come out.

Test a tiny bit first! Green & blue take a lot of washing out.

My DD dip dyed the ends of her blonde hair green last summer. It never fully washed out, she had to have a good cut when it was still showing several months later. Luckily she's a student so anything goes.

Green, or rather anything blue based will stain the hair shaft. Even bleaching won't get rid. You'll need to dye over (slight tinge may show through after a bit) or cut off.
Apart from that go for it! I've got green ombre currently and get so many compliments.

I think it does wash out over time. I ve done it now and I love it. Hair is naturally fair but I did prelighten the ends first

Ah this is something I love about where we live - most of the kids get their hair dyed blue/green/purple just before they go back to school.

My hair is involuntarily green

I had it dyed silver last weekend, with a bright pink stripe. It looked awesome. The silver has turned green, a lovely metallic sea foam green. Its lovely but not what I wanted. No one at the salon has seen this happen before. Im going to have it redyed tomorrow. I have no idea what colour I will come out with as they already tried to strip the green and it didnt work and I really dont want it bleached again so will have to dye over the top of it I imagine

Ds1 has green hair every summer. Every year the girl in the shop warns us that green is notoriously hard to get out. Every year it washes out with no issues.

I had a layer of mine dyed pink over summer last year and loved it even more so when FIL clearly disapproved Might have it done again this year, it had definitely washed out after a few weeks, or at least enough to get away with it. Can we see pics???

My DD1 had thick rainbow streaks throughout her blonde hair last summer. She's a doctor so got lots of comments ..especially in Paeds :) It faded really quickly though even the blues and greens.
