Does it annoy anyone else or is just me? People who feel like they can do what they like, when and how they like regardless and seem to think the world owes them a favour?

This week i have comea aross so many assholes eg; Parking on yellow lines/double parking on busy roads causing mayhem for everyone, the assholes of park in disabled spots, people who try and cross the road even though there are traffic lights a few meters away, people who try and push in ques or push and shove their way through in general, i could go on...

Rant over but does anyone else feel like this or are you one of the people who do these things, if so then why?

MamaMaiasaura · 01/06/2007 10:55

Sounds like things are getting on top of you. Might be worth speaking to gp tbh.

Backtobasics · 01/06/2007 10:56

Does stuff not bother anyone then?

Tigana · 01/06/2007 10:57

The people you describe are mildly irritating, the sort that make you annoyed for a short burst when they cut you up/don't say thank you etc but then it should all just flow away leaving you feeling 'normal', not seething for days on end.

MamaMaiasaura · 01/06/2007 10:57

Not me that much, although when i had PND little things would really wind me up.

thequeenofcontradiction · 01/06/2007 10:57

Yes, sometimes people annoy me but life's too short to get stressed about strangers.

Desiderata · 01/06/2007 10:58

Huh! You mean it doesn't revolve around me?

Backtobasics · 01/06/2007 11:00

I know what you mean when they annoy you at the time then you feel normal again, it gets to me though when these things happy every single blooming day! Maybe i should move!

Backtobasics · 01/06/2007 11:02

ditto prev comment i made

Gingermonkey · 01/06/2007 11:08

backtobasics - I am the same . And so is hubby and we rant constantly about things that wind us up (the fat arsed women at school that park right outside so the kids can just hop in the car - they wind me up!!! Never skinny ones, and always in horribly expensive cars too ). I bought DH a book called 'is it just me or is everything shit' There are 2 of them, the 1st one is much better. It is really funny and makes you feel sane, because you will have found yourself moaning about most of the things in the book. Get it!!!!!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 01/06/2007 11:09

that reminded me of catherine tate..

Dirty fecking bastards..

Backtobasics · 01/06/2007 11:13

I know they are silly things that shouldn't bother anyone, but they do and if these things didn't bother anyone then that would make it ok for everyone to do what like, when it's not ok to do what you like because there are other people besides yourself living in this world.

I agree lack of consideration and selfishness you see displayed is depressing. Although my bugbear is people getting horribly angry at slightest provcation. A red faced bald man called me a f++++ c=== (you get the drift) for daring to push my buggy across a zebra crossing the other day!

What cheers me up tho is the kind thoughtful people - those that insist on helping with buggies, look into the pram and smile etc. Often the dodgiest looking heavy metal/gang member types who turn to be really helpful

AnneJones · 01/06/2007 11:23

They are all So Much More Important than you, and don't you forget it.

(I get a lot of commuting-rage - people who stand at teh door of teh train so you have to file past them insingle file to get on - all so they can gain a valuable second in their working day (invariably these are the people who are in a huge rush then STAND on escalators....)

Am with you B2B!

foxinsocks · 01/06/2007 11:26

yeah but as awen says, there's being mildly irritated by things like this and it really affecting you (which it sounds like it does). If it makes you feel like you don't want to go out, then perhaps you need to go and talk to someone about how you are feeling.

Thing is, no matter how disapproving you/we are, people like this will always exist so you just have to try and get on with your life and not let the cheatingbastardscum get under your skin.

Backtobasics · 01/06/2007 11:30

I hate the ones who put your life at risk on the road all because they can't wait a few seconds. Why is everyone in such a rush nowadays? Why can't everyone just slow down.
