Using mobile phone in the bath

needyourlovingtouch · 02/08/2018 21:39

I just went into the bathroom and my husband is on his mobile web browsing and texting in the bath. He doesn't have phone insurance and the phone was quite expensive. Aibu to leave him to it? I can't be bothered to get into an argument/nag him bt surely this is silly.

He's a grown adult, leave the poor guy to have a bath in peace.

I always do this.

Butterflykissess · 02/08/2018 21:40

Its normal.

purpledreamcatching · 02/08/2018 21:41

I use my phone in the bath all the time, if my husband told me not to I'd tell him to sod off 😁

AlonsoTigerHeart · 02/08/2018 21:42

I do this but bollock dp for doing it.

I like to watch tiny kitchen

BusySittingDown · 02/08/2018 21:43

What kind of phone is it?

An iPhone 7, for example, is waterproof so if he dropped it in the bath it would be ok.

ImTakingTheEssence · 02/08/2018 21:43

Yep i always do this. I've dropped my phone in the bath and the toilet! It still works and i still take it in with me. Let him get on with it.

ImCatbug · 02/08/2018 21:44

I’m posting this from the bath right now!
I’ve used my phone in the bath for years, never dropped it. Leave him to it.

Margueritte · 02/08/2018 21:45

Waving at ya from the bath!

Bokky · 02/08/2018 21:46

Also waving from the bath! 👋🏻

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 02/08/2018 21:48

Are you his mother or his wife?

I always take my phone in the bath.

MirandaWest · 02/08/2018 21:48

I use my mobile phone in the bath and have done for a number of years.

needyourlovingtouch · 02/08/2018 21:49

Ah- I'm a self confessed phone/screen addict but have never used it in the bath for fear of dropping it!

I wish I was typing this in the bath.

Glares at both non-sleeping dds.

Aren't most phones waterproof now?

lifechangesforever · 02/08/2018 21:51

I'm not sure what else people would do in the bath without a phone! Unless there's a good book I'm reading, my phone or iPad has come into the bath with me for years. I relish the uninterrupted screen time.

annandale · 02/08/2018 21:52

Very relieved to find I'm not the only bath phone user.

As long as he hasn't got the charger plugged in...

Bizzylizzyloo · 02/08/2018 21:55

I do this all the time!

needyourlovingtouch · 02/08/2018 21:56

It's iPhone 6 so not waterproof. I do watch iPad in the bath but I don't hold it- it's propped on the sink well away from the bath. I tend to wash, shave my legs in the bath!

Another waving from the bath 👋

ShirleyPhallus · 02/08/2018 21:57

I really don’t understand these kind of relationships. A grown man, doing something he chooses with his own possessions and you’re asking if you should confiscate it like he’s a 5 year old?

PositiveVibez · 02/08/2018 21:59

I like to watch tiny kitchen

Weird, but okay 😂😂

NorthernSpirit · 02/08/2018 21:59

God how sad, that’s he’s so addicted to his phone he can’t put it down for 10 mins while he’s in the bath.

I’d leave him to it. If he drops it, it’s his problem.

InsomniacAnonymous · 02/08/2018 22:01

"I'm not sure what else people would do in the bath without a phone! "

WTF? This addiction to phones is beyond me. Not to even be able to put it down when you're in the bath is ridiculous! What I do in the bath is get clean. Is that completely beyond you to understand?

needyourlovingtouch · 02/08/2018 22:03

@ShirleyPhallus I'm not asking if I should confiscate it! Just whether I should mention that it might be risky. I haven't as I don't want to seem naggy but equally don't want him finding a way to blame me if he does drop it. I had to rummage around in the cupboard to get a flannel for DD

I use a pop socket and it feels a bit more secure now lol

ShirleyPhallus · 02/08/2018 22:06

i haven't as I don't want to seem naggy

Don’t do it, it is naggy

If he does drop it and somehow blames you then you have much bigger issues in your relationship I’m afraid
