People on here that are not mothers?
Don’t get me wrong, I like that there is a variety but it’s mums net!!!
Why do you register to use it if your not a mum?!
Again I am not saying it wrong or it shouldn’t happen but I just wonder why do you register to post and use mums net if the clue is in the name?!
Genuinely asking!

FFS, this is the third post I've seen asking the exact same thing in 2 days.

starfish2020 · 23/07/2018 19:21

Oh sorry I haven’t time to read every single post so it has escaped me
But it’s a genuine question

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 23/07/2018 19:22

All answered in the linked thread.

starfish2020 · 23/07/2018 19:23

Think about it then. Pregnancy, get) the fertility boards etc - all part of becoming a parent, no? Yet no child yet. If at all.

Let alone the rest of us who like other boards too. It's insulting and I'm fed up defending those of us who haven't got kids for whatever reason.

VladmirsPoutine · 23/07/2018 19:24

But why do you care? Does it actually matter? Who polices who people say they are?

This is such a worn out thread topic. Use your imagination a bit.

PattiStanger · 23/07/2018 19:24

How weird that this subject has come up so much recently, I'm not on here much but I've seen the same question about 3 times in the last couple of days

starfish2020 · 23/07/2018 19:25

SilverHairedCat

I never said anything of the sort
I was just thinking if there was a forum for say “car mechanics” I wouldn’t join it

The most useful piece on information I ever got on MN (and I’ve been here donkeys) was a recommendation for a hotel. I wasn’t even taking my kids Wink

Just maybe weekly

I was honestly asking

My sister is on here - because I recommended it - and she's not a mum. Shall we ban her?

SilverHairedCat · 23/07/2018 19:28

And yet when I went looking for information on how to fix something on my motorbike, I did join the Goldwing forum. And stayed to talk about random subjects unrelated to motorbikes because there were other sections they, much like here! It's a community, not a single issue site.

Nothisispatrick · 23/07/2018 19:29

I joined for the conception and pregnancy boards then it took me ages to get pregnant and I stayed.

Hello!

We promote our site as being 'by parents, for parents' and we'd very much hope that included parents of both genders and of all ages. (It was just that, when we were choosing a name for the site, 'Parentsnet' didn't really trip off the tongue in the same kind of way.) And, actually, we do have a fair few members who are not parents at all, either because they are pregnant or hoping to become pregnant soon or because they are interested in our discussions and wish to reflect their own viewpoint.

Gottokondo · 23/07/2018 19:30

Joined when pregnant. Had six miscarriages. I like the forum.

SilverHairedCat · 23/07/2018 19:31

Indeed, I came here looking for information on my husband's infertility issues and our options. We haven't been able to have children. Perhaps I need to leave because I can't become a mum?

starfish2020 · 23/07/2018 19:31

I honestly was only askin
I never saw a question like this asked and I wouldn’t if I did
It was curiosity

Shoot me for it
After all curiosity killed the cat, even though I am not one lol

I see more stuff about non-parenting topics than I do about parenting.
Even on parenting threads, people without children can still give opinions and their thoughts. They're mainly asking advice and for the most part, you don't need to have had experience with your own kids to give advice. Most of it is just common sense.

SilverHairedCat · 23/07/2018 19:33

(thanks Lorna, we know we're welcome really)

starfish2020 · 23/07/2018 19:33

Can I just point out

I am not saying anyone should leave, stop being so touchy

Ffs I hand infertility and M/s and it’s nothjng to do with it
I was simply asking
