I bow down to your morning-muffin-making MamaG (MMMMamaG - new name?) - I was reading a baking book last night (yes, I'm sad, I do that often) and saw muffins and thought "ooh, they'd be nice in the morning with coffee" but that's as far as it got!
What flavour are they are, apart from blood?

I want to make some... recipe please.
Ha ha - yes, she pointed me in the direction of that thread and it made me LOL! How can you dream about someone you've never met?
We should be on holiday now - boo - I start to pine if I don't get my fix of fresh air and mountains once a year.

9oz flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 - 4oz granulated sugar
3 - 5 oz dried fruit
mix above together
1 egg
8 fl oz milk
3oz melted butter (or 3 fl oz veg oil)
mix together
mix wet ingredients into dry ones, don't overstir put into muffin tin / cases and bake at 190 (gas mark 5) for 20 - 25 minutes until top is lightly browned and springs back enjoy
