what are blood muffins? sound lovely (i think!) LOL re the biltong, maybe i could get dd some pigs ears from the pet shop to chew on (just teasing), the looks would have been a whole lot worse if he were eating, heaven forbid a sausage roll or a ginger bread man!

a bit off topic,
yesterday my 7 month old was eating some biltong on his way home, in his buggy and the looks I was getting, I kept having to stop and look in on him, because some people gave him a look and them me and it made me worry...lol...but when I looked, he was happy as anything, chewing away on a soggy stick of dried meat.
I know, it's gross to some people, but it works a treat for those little teeth.

Anyway, we grew up that way...don't know any better remedy than a good stick of biltong!! LOL

You can make blood-free blood muffins by half filling the muffin case with mixture, adding a dollop of strawberry jam and then filling with more muffin mixture.

omg! lol , this happened to me this mornign! I was making banana and choc muffins from a previous thread on quick recipes, and cut my finger on th echocolate (have huge plaster as prof) luckily my muffins escaped unharmed,

but it isnt it (somewhat sad in a housewifey unfeminist way) very satisfying to make muffins for kids and dp for brekkie!! (have never done this beofore! but loved it! )

Ha ha - yes, she pointed me in the direction of that thread and it made me LOL! How can you dream about someone you've never met?

We should be on holiday now - boo - I start to pine if I don't get my fix of fresh air and mountains once a year.
