What colours go with this dress...

I’ve got a wedding in 3 weeks time and I hate, hate, hate shopping with a vengeance. However, I think I’ve found a dress that I can just about go for but it’s an awkward colour. It’s a forest green and although I’d love shoes in the same colour I think I’m going to struggle.

Could the fashionistas of MN AIBU please help me!

I’m going to attempt to insert a picture.....

Thank you 😊

Sorry, meant to say, what colours go with this dress not for people to find me matching shoes! X

How about the classic nude heels

DesignStatement · 02/07/2018 20:11

Just go for nude shoes or black.

WittyJack · 02/07/2018 20:11

Champagne/gold stroppy sparkly sandals?

Nude?

You can’t go wrong with black!

GandTthankyou · 02/07/2018 20:11

I’d go for a nude strapping sandal or a hot pink. And do hot pink accessories to match my shoes.

Summer it up a bit - if you go dark it could be a bit winter-y x

GandTthankyou · 02/07/2018 20:12

*strappy

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 02/07/2018 20:12

That dress is a bit wintery for a summer wedding! Is there nothing else you've seen that's a bit brighter?

Sorry, I know you weren't asking an opinion on the dress.

blackfootdaisy · 02/07/2018 20:14

I’d go for nude too

Aquamarine1029 · 02/07/2018 20:17

Nude or possibly even metallic heals would look great.

SwedishEdith · 02/07/2018 20:19

Yellow.

ApolloandDaphne · 02/07/2018 20:19

My DD wore a dress that colour to a wedding recently and it had burnt orange flowers on it. The combination was lovely. So maybe orange sandals? Or rose gold?

KittyVonCatsworth · 02/07/2018 20:20

@GreatDuckCookery that was my other concern tbh Sad I’d like the same dress in navy and then shove some coral accessories but they’ve sold out.

Nude seems to be the unanimous vote though on accessories and I do have some nice nude shoes so I could save some cash. I might order it and see.

Fucking hate shopping 😂

I second gold sparkly shoes. My DD bought some from New Look the other day , they go with everything !

I'd go navy shoes and bag. Wrap? Something in hair?

Notevilstepmother · 02/07/2018 20:22

I’d go for a metallic shoe, almost nude but with a bit of a shimmer. Or bronze maybe?

Depends on your skin.

MelanieCheeks · 02/07/2018 20:22

Or if everything else is plain, go for multicoloured. Floral heels.

Notevilstepmother · 02/07/2018 20:23

Those new look ones are the kind of thing I was thinking.

RideOn · 02/07/2018 20:23

Gold, nude, black

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 02/07/2018 20:23

If it fits well and you can find some great accessories to brighten it up you'll be ok.

Dress shopping for weddings is a complete nightmare.

KittyVonCatsworth · 02/07/2018 20:23

Ooooo, burnt orange...yellow would be nice too but a bit brave for me. Fuchsia I just can’t do I don’t think. But then again if it’s just shoes and a bag. I don’t normally do fascinators or hats but it might just lift it.

Did I mention I hate shopping....

Im a redhead and forest green is my safe place! I wear with gold or tan, both look nice.

KittyVonCatsworth · 02/07/2018 20:24

Gold is also a safe bet. God I love you lot!

Avoid black shoes. It will make it look business wear.

Nude or a burgundy colour sandal.

SwedishEdith · 02/07/2018 20:28

Yes to burnt orange!

chickhonhoneybabe · 02/07/2018 20:28

Silver or gold sparkly shoes, or vivid red
