I love The Bridge. I need something else fabulous to watch. I have sky and Netflix. Help!!

Unforgotten is pretty good, it's on the ITV player.

Gilead · 19/06/2018 21:38

Oh, and Safe, with the guy from Dexter doing an acceptable english accent and Marc Warren. Netflix. It goes a bit odd for an episode, but once back on track it's okay.

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 21:39

Tried so hard to get into the bridge but can’t! Should we try again?

bubbleroad · 19/06/2018 21:41

So frustrated that I've got into this series of The Bridge as it's broadcast - I binged previous. I too could do with some alternatives but don't have Netflix - looks like C4 has some good stuff from abroad.

AnnaMagnani · 19/06/2018 21:46

Ohmydays I think it would be a struggle to get into The Bridge without the first 3 series as it's basically about the relationships between the detectives, not solving the ridiculously complicated murders at all.

However you would have to go through the travesty that was Series 2 where DH and I ended up shouting 'No more plot, please no more plot!' at the TV and the scriptwriters somewhat lost touch with reality. Thankfully it was reined in for Series 3 and sense was restored albeit in a Bridge sort of way.

DopeyDazy · 19/06/2018 21:48

not sure link works its about ody found on mexico/ usa border pretty gruesome but gripping

SureIusedtobetaller · 19/06/2018 21:50

God the Bridge is just sheer bloody insane brilliance. I love Saga so much.
Unforgotten was fab too. The Killing also good if you like the Bridge?

thirstyformore · 19/06/2018 21:51

We're quite enjoyed Hidden. It's on bbc4. Lots of Welsh subtitles! And if you like the Bridge have you tried the Killing? (Not the American version).

Haffiana · 19/06/2018 21:51

So frustrated that I've got into this series of The Bridge as it's broadcast - I binged previous.

Yes ,I watched the first 4 in a binge and am impatiently waiting for it to finish so that I can binge that last 4. I just CAN't bear the suspense from week to week...

PaintedHorizons · 19/06/2018 21:51

Second Unforgotten - binged on series 1. Fabulous.

thirstyformore · 19/06/2018 21:51

Cross post re the Killing!

Ohmydayslove · 19/06/2018 21:51

Anna

Not helping Grin

Looks like a good new series from the makers of ‘in the line of duty’ coming up with Keeley Hawes??

TornFromTheInside · 19/06/2018 21:56

The Bridge and The Killing were fabulous, precisely the type of drama I adore. The dialog and mood are fantastic in both.

I also rather like Beck, which is much milder, but still compelling.

Naveloranges · 19/06/2018 21:57

The Bridge is brilliant. So many good series if you search BBC4 and Netflix.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 22:01

I absolutely loved the killing.

Unfirgotten sounds good

I really enjoyed The Dark too

Don’t watch Safe - it’s awful!!

TornFromTheInside · 19/06/2018 22:08

Unforgotten is recommended, as is Marcella

HollowTalk · 19/06/2018 22:10

I always think The Bridge has one more plot twist than we can cope with, but I think it's the best thing since The Killing, which was the best thing ever. I think Saga's acting is a masterclass in how to act; I think the cinematography is a masterclass in film photography. What I love is that when you talk to someone about it, there's just so much to talk about. I phoned my SIL today, hadn't chatted for a year or so and within a few minutes we were talking about The Bridge and our next phone call is planned for the day after the final episode. That's only happened with The Killing, for me.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 22:10

I've googled Unfirgotten and it doesn't sound that great Sad

Dopplerineffect · 19/06/2018 22:11

The disappearance was good.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 22:11

The murders in the bridge are silly but it's always so brilliantly done and heartbreaking

FlyingElbows · 19/06/2018 22:13

Unforgotten is good. Safe is watchable but not brilliant. I watched something French about a female serial killer with the children on Friday which was ok but blimey you need to concentrate with subtitles!

TornFromTheInside · 19/06/2018 22:17

Don't judge a book by its cover! Give it a go.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 22:18

Ok
