AIBU to still go out?

I've not long been in from going out partying. DH is livid as he says it's too much too often. I go out once a month on average, usually with a few of my old rave mates (DH not interested) to Bristol or London. I won't tend to even get out of the house until gone 7 on a Saturday but like to go to a few clubs then back to mates to put some tunes on and chill for the day.
DH says it's got to stop. Before we met/had DS, I'd be out Friday to Monday but I've had to stop. Is it reasonable to expect to go out occasionally?

You sound pretty selfish op.

Sorry once a month you go out for the whole of sat night and Sunday too?

I think you need to grow up. Sorry

tinyme77 · 03/06/2018 22:03

Once a month sounds ok. Does he not go out?

Tailfeather · 03/06/2018 22:06

I don't see the problem if you don't have children? I'd love to party more (and have the time to chill and recover!).

You have to be kidding

LanguidLobster · 03/06/2018 22:07

Well...occasionally...

How old is DS?

SadTrombone · 03/06/2018 22:07

This must be a reverse surely

Ohmydayslove · 03/06/2018 22:07

Tailfeather

Read the op! She has a ds.,

veggifriedbreakfast · 03/06/2018 22:08

If only I could do the same and I live in London!

Glumglowworm · 03/06/2018 22:09

Occasionally yes, not one whole weekend a month

kaytee87 · 03/06/2018 22:09

A night out once a month is hardly crime of the century.
Would I be right in assuming you're partaking in some class A drugs though op? 'Rave mates'?

PartyAnxiety · 03/06/2018 22:10

I think once a month is quite a lot for such a big night (but I'm a home body so maybe that's just me!). On the other hand t's not a crazy amount of time either and of course you should still be able to go out. Is it just the amount of time it takes up that bothers him or the money or are you massively hungover when you get back?

MadMags · 03/06/2018 22:10

Are you joking? If this is a reverse you’re a dick, FYI.

If not, you’re a selfish dick!

Glumglowworm · 03/06/2018 22:10

And yes it does sound like a reverse, in which case grow up and post as yourself

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 03/06/2018 22:10

Does your husband get a similar amount of time "off" each month?

MadMags · 03/06/2018 22:10

She stays out from Saturday at 7 to Sunday at 10pm??

RafikiIsTheBest · 03/06/2018 22:11

Does your DH also get one Saturday night and all day Sunday off per month? What about family time, if you're only together 2 weekends per month?

I wouldn't mind DP doing it, but then we don't have children and he pulls his weight around the house and works full time. If any of these were different I wouldn't be keen.

arethereanyleftatall · 03/06/2018 22:11

I think a sat night and a Sunday once a month are fine, assuming your dh gets the same.
Dh and I have both continued our hobbies after having children, and it works for us.

edwinbear · 03/06/2018 22:11

Don’t you miss your DS whilst you’re gone? I love going out but would hate to be completely absent 1 Sunday out of every 4.

TheHobbitMum · 03/06/2018 22:12

I'd be pissed off if my DH went out for a full weekend once a month

Wellthisunexpected · 03/06/2018 22:16

Is there more to this, are you doing drugs?

Hoopaloop · 03/06/2018 22:17

DH doesnt seem to want to go out but I wouldn't have a problem with him if he wanted to. I usually get in around 5-6 and make tea so I'm still there for them both.

MadMags · 03/06/2018 22:19

But you’re gone all night and the whole next day?

If you were posting about your DH doing this I guarantee you’d be told to LTB. Repeatedly.

formerbabe · 03/06/2018 22:19

I think it's time to grow up op.

Anasnake · 03/06/2018 22:20

How old are you - 17 ?
