car park wars (with basic diagram)

Nipped to the shops in my lunch hour and parked in a fairly narrow car park, a car came in (marked 'her' on the diagram) and parked in front of my car, took her seatbelt off and just sat there. I waited a minute or so then pulled forward a little so she could see I wanted to get out but she just looked away; I gave a little 'pip' of the horn, not a full on beep and again she ignored me. I gave another little pip and she lifted her arms up in a what I'd call a 'whatdoyouwantmetodo' gesture so I asked her to please move her car a bit so I could get out. Nothing.

I got out of my car and went over and asked again if she could please move forward or backwards to let me out and she said "my fucking mum's disabled, I'm waiting for a space". So I said "there isn't any disabled spaces empty just now so if you could just pull forward I can get out". She then told me to "fuck off you fat cunt" and finally moved her car.

Firstly I was gutted because I've lost a lot of weight over the last year so that really stung, secondly was I out of order asking her to move? How long would you have waited?

What a bitch! I would wait a minute, that’s more than enough time. How rude she was.

SlightlyJaded · 21/05/2018 15:00

You know you are not being unreasonable. She is an uncooth cunt.

KinkyAfro · 21/05/2018 15:01

I should've said in my OP that her mum was in the car because she started waving her blue badge at me "saying I'm disabled, I'm waiting to park" so it wasn't like she was waiting for her to come out of anywhere

KinkyAfro · 21/05/2018 15:02

I didn't know if I was being unreasonable by beeping twice, albeit not full on beeps

Unfortunately some people are just arseholes.
Well done on the weight loss Smile
You wernt in the wrong to ask her to shift

Aprilmightbemynewname · 21/05/2018 15:02

Better to carry more calories than be her any day op. .
Cf of the day to her.
And Flowersto you.

TroubledLichen · 21/05/2018 15:02

She actually expected you to sit there blocked in for as long as it took for the disabled spaces to become free. That could have been hours... Confused

She was an entitled, rude twat. Why couldn’t she just park in any of those free spaces (or the spot you vacated) whilst she waited for a disabled space?

busybarbara · 21/05/2018 15:03

Are the stars other cars? If so, why didn't she just park across two empty spaces. If she's that rude, I can't see how it would have bothered her.

Luisa27 · 21/05/2018 15:05

I second the uncouth c word

How horrid - it never ceases to amaze me how vile some people are. I’d want to say to her
“I may need to lose a little weight but you’ll always be an uncouth c*

KinkyAfro · 21/05/2018 15:05

Yes busybarbara they were occupied spaces and I don't know why she couldn't have done that.

TroubledLichen I guess so, it's a free car park so those spaces could well be occupied all day

Some people are best forgotten. Her issues are not yours, leave her to them and move on. You did nothing wrong.

PlumsGalore · 21/05/2018 15:06

The red mist is descending just picturing this.

if theybdnt move.. press and hold horn

My usual strategy in car situations. People don't have time to get angry, they just tend to move if you do this.

Storminateapot · 21/05/2018 15:17

Sadly some people are just foul. I wonder what their home life must be like if they are that obnoxious in public. Bets she's a cracking neighbour!!

KinkyAfro · 21/05/2018 15:24

The thing is though I was actually pleased with what I was wearing today, took a lot of hard work losing 7.5 stones and I thought I looked OK. One comment from a stupid woman has brought me right back down to earth.

Bitch

OP posts:
TroubledLichen · 21/05/2018 15:25

Oh don’t listen to this crazy woman. She’s a total cunt who apparently thought it was reasonable to trap you in a parking space, potentially all day. So we know her judgement is fucked. I bet you looked fab!

Sirzy · 21/05/2018 15:27

Ignore her comments!

She must have lots of time on her hands if she can wait around for a specific space! Even if she had to block two spaces, get her Mum out then park properly!

Trinity66 · 21/05/2018 15:28

aww sorry, she hit a nerve with her insult, don't let it get you down though :( And obviously she was the one being U, I don't know why her moving forward to unblock you was such a chore for her, very odd

Stormwhale · 21/05/2018 15:29

After watching a video of a woman driving into a road that was closed for a marathon, whilst people were running, and justifying it with her blue badge as though it was a vip pass, I am starting to think some people think a blue badge allows them to act in atrocious ways. Yanbu op, this woman acted very poorly indeed.

Starlight2345 · 21/05/2018 15:34

Ignore her . Well done on the weight loss . Some people think the world owes them a living . She is still a self centred bitch no matter what she weighed

Failingat40 · 21/05/2018 15:35

She was an entitled, rude bitch, karma will get her don't worry.

7.5 stone weight loss is amazing!! WinkWineThanks

You can change your shape but she's stuck with her vile personality.

Luisa27 · 21/05/2018 15:37

The holding down of the car horn thing is what I do too - definitely works

Luisa27 · 21/05/2018 15:38

And gosh - bravo on the weight loss!
Woo hoo!!! Keep going!!! 🕺🏼

DiagramFan · 21/05/2018 15:38

Nice diagram. I like the asterisk (for other parked cars?) - if so, well remembered.

Congrats on the weight loss.
