Just wondered if something like this should carry a warning in the advert or the pacakaging.
My Mum went and bought a small set for the garden last week. I noticed at the weekend with the unusually hot weather, that the glass top gets quite hot to touch being sat in the sun. So muvch so that you would remark "Ohh" and pull away if you'd put your arm on it. I commented that we would need to be careful with DS (almost 4) around so he doesnt catch himself on it as it felt quite hot. My Mum said "Oh I didnt think about that!"
I chalked it up as one of those impulse things my Mum buys without thinking it through and forgot about it. My Mum said a short while later she would have a word with Wilkos as she doesn't think it safe. I said "It's a glass table that's been sat in the sun, what else would you expect other than it to get hot - don't worry"
It niggled a bit because I suppose in some ways my Mum is right? No where do it say on the ad above that the table top is glass, or gives a warning about exposure to heat.
It's by the by now as she's bought a small waxproof table cover to avoid any issues but wondered if anyone had any thoughts on it?
