So funny light hearted conversation with sister and friend Friday and totally random.
I swim every Friday evening with my other half and my dc.
My sister told me it was vile for me to swim whilst bleeding. My friend disagrees and said it fine.
I did go swimming as my period was pretty much over (day 5). Would I swim whilst heavy? I would say no I wouldn’t. Would you?
Sister says it’s not fair on others swimming and friend says she’s wouldn’t care. Are there actually any rules about it? Would you? Would a tamping be suitable if you did want to swim? I’m not sure about others but if I bath whilst using a tampon it will eventually fill up with water and expand rapidly! Confused or is it just me?? Would you swim during your period?

I'm sorry my autism offends you.

I'm genuinely not trying to attack you, and I'm glad to know you're autistic too. I thought I'd upset you, so I apologised. I probably was a little bit knarked that you aligned a literal reading with being thick or malicious, when that seemed an unnecessary ad hominem, so I apologise that some of that leaked through. I'll stay quiet now so that the thread can get back on track.

Newsflash

If you wear a tampon, that becomes soaked with blood and then the water enters your vagina and soaks into the tampon, then the pool water is going to mix with the blood even if you do wear a tampon.

The OP isn't talking about bleeding though, if you read any of her posts

She's talking about very very light spotting, that possibly doesn't even need a liner, much less a tampon - that's slightly discoloured CM, not blood

An ovulating woman may well have more copious fluids, but as I've already asked, do people think all women should be wearing a tampon throughout their cycle whenever they swim? I go swimming once in a blue moon, so I have no stake in the game, I'm just genuinely curious about the logic
