AIBU To think Victoria Beckham is a right mardy, stroppy looking mare. Anybody see the way she was looking out the corner of her eye at the crowds. Not a hint of a smile.

Yes I notice that David isn't attentive to her.

Urgh, I've been hearing this now since I was 11. Doesn't anyone get bored of saying this about her and about replying with the same thing by now? She's always been this way wherever she is, whatever she's doing.

I think it's weird that people expect celebrities to stand around smiling at all times for no reason.

I think she gets anxiety and it doesn't matter what the occasion is if you feel self conscious or whatever then you aren't going to be able to force yourself to relax

ive seen her grin today when hugging people.
ive seen her make great witty jokes in private interviews and speak quite cherrily.give over people.
we do seem to live to pick on this woman quite unfairly she is targeted

I know every on here seems to hate her but to me walking in she looked nervous and awkward like she could have done with some reassurance from David who seemed to forget he was even with his wife. Once she was in the church and saw people she knew her face changed! To me she's not that comfortable in big crowds probably because she knows what everyone will be saying!

Perhaps she's just one of those people that can't hold a natural smile. I can't - I last about 2 seconds then it turns into some kind of hideous rictus grimace, like I'm at the dentist or something. I'm rarely smiling in photos, unless it's a random snapshot. I probably look like a right moody cow & properly up myself, but I'm not, I just can't hold a smile for the camera.

Tell that to the Queen. She had a face like a slapped arse the whole way through 😄 I thought she fell asleep at one point. Probably wishing she was at home in her comfy slippers with a cup of tea.

I think she is far too obsessed with her own image.

The body language between her and David is very telling. I think it's a showmance.

She seems utterly obsessed with the image she's projecting of herself, she's been in the public eye long enough now to be relaxed about her public face. I could forgive her grimacing and stony expression if that could be attributed to her wanting to be a private person and uncomfortable with publicity, but given she self promotes and posts masses of footage of the many aspects of her family life, conversely she seems to crave constant attention although her miserable face seeks to imply otherwise On the other hand, Carey Mulligan, Serena Williams and Amal Clooney who TEND to be far more circumspect about their private lives all managed radiant smiles.

I thought she looked sullen and self absorbed. She didn't look around her at all. She just looks like an arrogant cow. I also noticed that there was no interaction between her and David . They seemed distant and i wondered too if they had had a row.

She seems to be morphing into Christine Lampard.

I think she’s just incredibly self conscious, she’s fully aware when a camera is on her & so never relaxes & looks very unnatural. It comes across as affected but I think it’s anxiety.

It’s highlighted by the fact David comes across very relaxed & natural.

Poor woman. It appears she can’t get anything right. So much for girl (woman) power.

Ahahahahaha! I can now totally see why she doesn't smile in public.
However, I think the solution is actually to PRACTICE A NO-TEETH SMILE rather than look like a right moody fucking cow all the time.

I always think VB comes across very well in interviews; she is very funny and has great personality.

But it doesn't take much to smile, especially at a wedding, on such a beautiful sunny day. I thought her behaviour was rude.

Gosh she hasn't always been like this.
before her Billions she used to smile all the time when starting out with The Spice Girls.
She was a normal weight, smiled and then changed her look entirely when she married David and became very rich.
I think her cheating husband probably removed her smile.
Just shows money can't buy happiness.

She looks gorgeous when she smiles.
A 1000x better than when she puts on that sulky look.

I wouldn't smile if I hadn't eaten since last month either.

And I agree EdWinchester. I think the Beckham marriage is for public show only, and has been for some time.

I don't have strong opinions about her either way, but it really does look as though they detest each other and it's getting harder to hide. She is not the reason he hasn't got his knighthood though, he is.

VB has low self - esteem and is obviously a very anxious individual.
Her husband ;who I believe has a massive ego was too caught up in his own celebrity to take any notice.

Actually I remember seeing her on Bond St & it’s quite biazarre how she would just stop
walking turn around, fix herself & walk again. Constant twitching I felt sorry for her.

I might well not feel like smiling if I was hitched to David Beckham, a man not noted for his intellectual rigour. One of his favourite "hobbies" is constructing Lego sets, which is revealing in itself.

I'm guessing the novelty of David Beckham as a sex symbol has long since worn off for her. I'm not I could him take him seriously whilst he squeaked sweet nothings in my ear.
