AIBU To think Victoria Beckham is a right mardy, stroppy looking mare. Anybody see the way she was looking out the corner of her eye at the crowds. Not a hint of a smile.

Apricot people can voice their opinion all they like, I just find it a bit sad in a pro dominantly female forum with strong views on feminism that a large majority seem to think it's ok to basically judge a woman on her appearance and lack of smile. She can't can't her face anymore then you or I can. You can do as you please but to me it's no worse than a sexist builder saying cheer up love. Of course this is my opinion and I appreciate not everyone agrees with me.

And for the record, I think people (like myself) are judging her because she looked a complete mardy arse at an occasion where she should have made an effort to look as if she wasn't a bloody mardy arse!

She was perfectly chatty and smiley before and after the ceremony, during which ALL the guests looked solemn.

The Split had a storyline about superinjunctions and payments to fling/affair people, it’s on TV so must be true

I think it must be injunctions. Whilst they’re litigious, they’ve never sued any of the women / newspapers who’ve claimed to have affairs with him. You can’t sue if it’s true.

It does make me wonder under what circumstances they’re getting injunctions- the children maybe.

Also, tabloid culture isn’t really what it was and I’m not sure the likes of the Sun care enough anymore- Rebecca Loos was paid £1m nearly 10 years ago and there just isn’t that sort of cash about now. I wonder who would expose them? Even Weinstein was exposed in an intellectual piece, with the focus all on his sexual offences rather than cheating

Nobody is saying she should be walking round like the Cheshire Cat fgs. This is not a case of "cheer up love, might never happen." The poor woman looked close to tears and it was quite shocking to see. That is the reason for this thread. It's not "jealousy" at all.

There has been a recent incident with DB which quite a lot of people in a particular circle know about, but it has not reached the papers because those people probably feel it's already affected the children enough and /or it's none if their business. Plus it would not be hard to find who leaked the story probably and then there would be that stigma. And it is none of our business. But that is just one incident and it's unlikely to be the only one. It's a sad way to live and seeing VB st the wedding, you do have to wonder about the impact on her mental and physical health. She did not look st all well and that is the reason for the thread. If Elton or George Clooney turned up looking so desperately unhappy, people would be commenting in the same way.

She looks terribly unhappy and strained. Every public event more humiliation for her. What a way to live your life, he parades around like the proverbial 'cock' strutting his stuff and seemingly getting away with a long term pattern of infidelity. Of course stuff leaks out, kids find out. It's going to impact your mental health and well-being.

I'm not interested in their marriage, I'm not saying a woman should constantly grin insanely, but not to have a natural smile on such an occasion is strange. You'd think it would happen automatically, in the sunshine on a happy day. I feel sorry for someone who clearly is so miserable.

I too think she just has RBF - something I identify with.

I always liked David Beckham so hope the rumours are untrue. It would certainly explain why she does look so sad/ grumpy though.

There are photos of her and DB showing her smiling from about 20 years ago. So it may be that she felt more happy and natural in the early stages of their relationship, but that things have now gone sour and she’s badly treated by him (if the rumours are true.)

If it’s not about how he treats her, then I would still hazard a guess that it’s to do with the dynamic between them. She only seems to feel comfortable with that look... plastered in make up, pouting and looking unattractive thin. DB on the other hand is quite naturally stunning to look at, and has an incredible body (and I say that as someone who thinks he’s a plank.)

It’s not much of a life for VB to feel so self conscious and to be so obsessed with appearances that she’ll always feel she’s punching above her weight

I can’t believe people are still talking about her lack of smiling. Get over it, people!

And I shall reiterate, all the tabloids have said the same about her moodiness. Do you judge every one else who made the same comments as 'angry and 'non smiley kind of people' then, or is it just me you're trying your hardest to put down?
