People who want to scrap AIBU are beavers in my opinion.

GibbonInARibbon · 13/05/2007 20:48

I love the way people ask if they ABU then get very emotional if people say yes.

I got my first Fuck Off on an AIBU thread [proud]

lilymolly · 13/05/2007 20:48

As stated, where are the rule books, as to where I can or cant post threads. The reason I chose AIBU, was that dp thought I was being unreasonable?

vimfuego · 13/05/2007 20:49

Cod has the rule book.

GibbonInARibbon · 13/05/2007 20:50

lily, pay no mind, 'tis just teasing

I'm only joshing.

But I do love AIBU.

divastrop · 13/05/2007 20:53

i thought this topic was started because there were so many threads on other topics that started with AIBU?so whats wrong with lumping them all together?

lilymolly · 13/05/2007 20:55

Thanks for apologies, but this is the first time I have ever come into the "firing" line so to speak, but i can duck or run, just feeling a little sensitive as the subject I started the thread about is very emotional for me.

P.S I had not been on MN for a few weeks, and returned to find these AIBU topics, and I love them!!

GibbonInARibbon · 13/05/2007 20:56

I love you more aitch (but not quite as much as I love AIBU)

ravenAK · 13/05/2007 20:58

Would it be possible to set up a log in so you could choose not to 'see' any topics you weren't interested in, eg. you might hate gardening, or have completed your family & not be interested in ttc?

Then those who find AIBU objectionable could just make it magically disappear!

(Don't know if it is feasible, I'm a Luddite, me)

vimfuego · 13/05/2007 21:06

And I love aitch too of course.

has drink been taken? All week??

carriemumsnet · 13/05/2007 21:12

We've been discussing recently the possibility of letting folks customise their topics list more on Talk, eg in same way you can block out buying and selling you could also block AIBU etc. BUT don't get too excited, we can't promise it immediately. Tech's currently shed bound still trying to bring you the all singing/dancing updated reviews, plus he's still tinkering with local which has LOTS of gaps all ready to be filled. So if you're fed up with AIBU you could always go and spend a few minutes checking out your local area and adding your top recommendations. This especially applies to Mancunians. Last time we looked there were NO recommendations at all in Manchester, and surely it can't be all that bad?

Anyway shameless hijack there, but am sure there was something vaguely relevant in there if you look hard enough.
