Just curious really, what's the 'in' thing now? Do people still shave or is it au natural?

esk1mo · 09/04/2018 23:35

i shave, dont care if people think women shouldnt

Fruitcorner123 · 09/04/2018 23:36

Do what you feel comfortable with, does it really matter whats 'in'?

BipolarSunset · 09/04/2018 23:37

Oops sorry. Pubes!

Just curious really, I switch between the two depending on if I can be bothered or not. Just wondered what was the done thing now a days lol

Bambamber · 09/04/2018 23:39

You want strangers on the internet to divulge whether or not they shave their pubes Hmm

Pinkponiesrock · 09/04/2018 23:39

I don’t think many shave but I don’t think it’s au natural either. I’m my circle of friends we all either wax or have had IPL.

Some of us do both as the blooming IPL didn’t do a thing Angry

SaucyJane · 09/04/2018 23:43

A name changer or a first time poster, posting the umpteenth thread on intimate hair removal in the last few days?

Report, report, report...

RepealMay25th · 09/04/2018 23:44

Do people still shave or is it au natural?

like everyone does the same thing?

Flampingu · 09/04/2018 23:46

According to the other thread on the go at the minute we all pluck them, poolside.

BipolarSunset · 09/04/2018 23:49

I did see that thread flampingu which is kinda why I'm asking, curious as I've never used removal cream or plucked Confused

I've recently name changed and haven't seen any previous posts regarding this subject. Wouldn't have asked otherwise

Why not grab a clipboard and go round your street asking your neighbours what they do with their fanny hair?

steff13 · 09/04/2018 23:59

I'm sure everyone does what they're comfortable with. You do you.

reallyanotherone · 10/04/2018 00:07

There’s been hundreds of these threads.

I have to say, with the seeming trend for bald, i haven’t been for a smear in years because i feel self conscious. So many younger women seem to associate it with “clean” and “hygenic”, and somehow not shaving is not being “groomed” or looking after yourself.

I worry i will get some young nurse who will judge me as a stinky old feminist hippy and tell tales on forums about the old woman with pubes so long you could plait them, and obviously hasn’t shaved or had sex in years...

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 10/04/2018 00:10

Oh right.

Lol.

I actually read an article in a magazine (Cosmo?) that had an interview with a gynecologist, and she said they don't care either way. Only about half of women do anything, so you wouldn't be the only natural woman they saw that day. And, it isn't more hygienic. Nurses are medical professionals, they'll know that.

flowerslemonade · 10/04/2018 00:11

The nurse wont care at all, she will just be glad you went for your smear. They see everything in sexual health clinics and have heard it all!

MagneticMan · 10/04/2018 00:28

Why are there so many minge shaving/waxing/plucking threads on here these days Hmm

Just do what you feel comfortable with OP, why do you give a shit what's "in" or not? It's not like you'll be entering a fanny fashion parade any time soon.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 10/04/2018 00:29

Oh, is it that time of year again?
No one gives a flying fuck, and if they do they are dicks (or twats-what ever)

Prancingonthevalentine · 10/04/2018 00:29

I'd rather have a nurse gossip about the middle aged feminist than be dead.

TellOutMySoul · 10/04/2018 00:37

The feeling clean thing is interesting.

I trim down there, don't shave. Recently I went quite close, took a lot off.

I got thrush for the first time in years. Now, obviously this is probably a coincidence but it just felt gross feeling the dampness and itchiness of thrush without hair to protect you and - apologies here - keep your underwear a bit cleaner!

When I ovulate I produce cervical mucus, like most women, and without public hair, the discharge goes straight into my underwear and I feel so unclean I have to change my pants several times a day.

When I have more hair down there, I don't notice it. I shower once a day and it gets rid of it.

So I have decided I feel far less "clean" without pubes than with.

paxillin · 10/04/2018 00:48

Happy Foof Hair Week, everyone!

polarb · 10/04/2018 00:57

I do shave as Dh prefers it. I used to prefer it too but now if I'm honest would rather have it au naturale. Just do what you want to do.

CadyHeron · 10/04/2018 01:00

I couldn't give a shiny what people do, and find it even more bizarre that people would post on here what they do "downstairs."
Do what's comfortable for you,and not what others are or aren't doing!

toffee1000 · 10/04/2018 01:00

I caught an episode of Naked Attraction once and every woman on it was completely shaved down there. Mostly young 20 somethings. It does seem to be the thing to do. I don’t do it, though, I can’t imagine waxing or shaving down there to be very comfortable.
