Your kids no longer have names: they're now DD, DC, DS.

Someonr mentions your username on TV (Pll in my case) and you turn around and say "what?"

Your Autocorrect corrects "Mum" to "Mumsnet".

You smirk every time you see a dirty sock or a plastic beaker.

A friend is venting, and you answer with "Yanbu".

Someone was telling me a story about their neighbour's bad behaviour today and and said they were a proper cf.

.... oops ... maybe need to go away for a bit .... Grin

NeedForBlossom · 03/04/2018 19:55

If someone mentions they read it you are paranoid they've recognised you Shock

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/04/2018 19:58

Needfor luckilly I'm "out" on here, so that's one thing I don't need to worry about!

Oh and...

You vet your visitors' parking spaces, just in case your neighbor starts a thread about you. (DFs and their motor home the other day!)

You have to resist the urge to type DH, DC, DD, DS on other parenting forums/groups!

Laiste · 03/04/2018 20:07

You try and do strike throughs in texts and emails Grin

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/04/2018 20:08

Hell yes! 😂

Every other thing I say to DP starts with “there’s a thread on mumsnet...”. 😊

YorkieDorkie · 03/04/2018 20:19

When this emoji is missing from your daily life... HmmHmmHmm

Helpthem2018 · 03/04/2018 20:36

I wish you could do strike throughs on texts 😞

Babybearsporij · 03/04/2018 20:39

When you recognise other MNers on other sites / your social media. Same threads, same abbreviations etc.

HeyhoIndigo · 03/04/2018 20:58

. . .you are discussing something with your DSis by text and she sends you a link to a MN thread which is related to the topic under discussion, saying she found this funny.

You read the thread, hoping you are not one of the posters, wondering what your DSis' user name is and then think about changing yours quite soon.

That and burning the tea you are cooking because you are glued to a fast-moving thread and can't put the screen down to go and check on it.

Guilty as charged.

elspinsdemariscal · 03/04/2018 21:03

LTB is instantly understood by your DH Wink

Oblomov18 · 03/04/2018 21:14

When you try and do a strike-through on messenger or whataspp and then get frustrated that it won't work! Angry

UterusUterusGhali · 03/04/2018 21:17

Agree that Hmm should be part of normal conversation.

When you're reading about Cystic Fibrosis at work and keep reading "cheeky fucker". Blush

Knittedfairies · 03/04/2018 21:19

...you find you swear much more than ever before..

MrsGrindah · 03/04/2018 21:22

When you just say “ No” and think to yourself ( “ Its a complete sentence”)

StepAwayFromGoogle · 03/04/2018 21:25

Every time something happens in your life that winds you up, you find yourself mentally composing a post and imagining loads of Mumsnetters telling you YANBU...

Orchidflower1 · 03/04/2018 21:26

Agree with all the pp re strike through - why can’t I do this with what’s app?!!!

SenecaFalls · 03/04/2018 21:26

You're American and your spell checker at work stays busy correcting words like "behaviour" and "neighbour" back to their correct American English spellings.

tralaaa · 03/04/2018 21:28

When you confirm cheeky fucker rather than Charlie fox's trot

VioletCharlotte · 03/04/2018 21:28

When you look for the Hmmemoji when sending work emails.

When you can talk extensively about the pros and cons of home ed, even though your children were not home schooled.

You spend your time thinking about what you would call your fictional baby, even though you have no desire to have more children.

You question yourself, thinking 'AIBU?' when doing anything.

SayNoToCarrots · 03/04/2018 21:28

WhatsApp lets you do strikethroughs and hmm face!
