To ask what this dead creature is?

I just found this in my lounge. It's very dead. What is it?

Newt?

It looks like a lizard of some sort.
How big is was it?

It's pretty small. In its coiled position it's about as big as a 50p.

It's probably a newt but it does look a bit like a baby gecko

Is it scaly or is that just dry skin? If it has scales, it's a reptile (lizard etc).
If no scales, it's a newt (amphibian).
From the photo it looks like a newt.

Oh no! I'd be devastated if I found that in my house. I'm scared of every animal going especially ones that have snuck into my house! I know he's dead but he might have a brother

We found a frog in an upstairs bedroom, they have ways and means of getting in - no idea how. it looks like a newt to me as well.
