Comfy Boots

I've just been looking at the Rocket Dog Boot thread & it set me off thinking about the 15 pairs of boots I've ordered online this year, & returned them due to being so uncomfy.

At the moment I'm on the Fly Mes 3, fur lined, although they don't seem to do the fur lined any longer. They're looking rather shabby now though, & I'll need some new ones very soon. I do tend to go from boot to sandal or flip flop. Nothing seems comfy anymore, all help would be appreciated.

Uggs.
I know a lot of people on here will disagree but they are honestly the only boots that I find comfortable.

Trinity66 · 23/03/2018 17:09

what kind of boots are we talking about? like formal ish or casual? I wear caterpillar boots pretty much everyday, they're really comfy but very casual

MrsLandingham · 23/03/2018 17:09

Celtic & Co. Expensive, but definitely worth it as they last so long.

NancyDonahue · 23/03/2018 17:10

I have some gabor boots that have lasted 3 winters and are only just starting to look shabby. Very comfy but I've added a memory foam insole as they've stretched a bit.

Appuskidu · 23/03/2018 17:11

I go from boots to sandals too!

I have 6 pairs of Fly boots-Mes and Mol are my favourites. I like Sack and the high wedge ones too though.

Dr Martens (the zip wedge ones) are similarly comfortable. I also have Rocket Dogs though the soles seem to go on these.

I've tried Uggs out of sheer desperation but they felt quite tight on my feet, plus they look too much like slippers for my liking. Thanks anyway.

I'm looking for a casual boot. Not too bothered about the cost, just so log as they look OK & are comfy.

I shall just go & check a few of those boots out now, thanks.

Sorel, cosy Joan's, feels like wearing slippers but they look great too!

IanRushesInadequateFlushes · 23/03/2018 17:18

They're not cheap, but I like aquaitalia at russell and Bromley for a smarter boot - they do flats or heels in all different finishes and they are way more comfortable than other brands I've tried

Here's some:

Oak and Hyde are supposed to be comfortable as well, as are Birkenstock boots.

carefreeeee · 23/03/2018 17:27

Doc Martens - they do various styles not just the lace ups

fabulousfrumpyfeet · 23/03/2018 17:31

Crocs! Not the welly type ones but crocs do a range of normal looking shoes/boots. I got some about 7 years ago, they still look good, are completely waterproof, and have a crocs type sole inside. They look like normal flat leather boots.

MrsLandingham · 23/03/2018 17:35

OP, I think that all sheepskin boots feel tight to start with. My Celts were so uncomfortably tight when I first tried them on that I thought I'd have to send them back. They slackened off within a few days.

Idontdowindows · 23/03/2018 17:36

I wear either Softline boots or my Docs. Anything else makes my feet hurt.

AnaVanda · 23/03/2018 18:05

Marks and Spencer. Lovely soft leather and comfortable from the first time you wear them.

Whisperingwinds · 23/03/2018 19:01

Fitflop boots - the most comfy ones I have ever had

1Strawberry · 23/03/2018 19:03

I got some Rocket dog boots for the school run during pregnancy and I never take them off, they're as comfy as slippers!

Cassimin · 23/03/2018 19:06

I love my timberland boots.
I've had uggs and found them comfy too.
But definetly timberlands with jeans. Last forever.

JessyJames · 23/03/2018 19:08

I have a pair of these from the mature person shoe shop. I bought them whilst taking my 85 year old mother shopping.
Very comfortable!

Mytholmroyd · 23/03/2018 19:08

I have these leather ugg boots they are blissfully comfy!

As I said on the other thread I swear by my Timberlands and my Uggs-the Uggs aren't the slipper type ones though they're 'proper' boots-think my latest pair are called Wilcox, though can't for the life of me remember the name of my previous ones...
