Comfy Boots

I've just been looking at the Rocket Dog Boot thread & it set me off thinking about the 15 pairs of boots I've ordered online this year, & returned them due to being so uncomfy.

At the moment I'm on the Fly Mes 3, fur lined, although they don't seem to do the fur lined any longer. They're looking rather shabby now though, & I'll need some new ones very soon. I do tend to go from boot to sandal or flip flop. Nothing seems comfy anymore, all help would be appreciated.

I have some from Fitflop - but like this but an older style comfy.

I really like blowfish octave ankle boots. I’ve had the same pair about 3 times. They don’t last forever but they are not that expensive and they are really comfortable

I bought some from redfootshoes .com. They are really comfy, leather and were £35.

UGGS. They have so many styles that aren't just basic boots. And you can replace the insole for $20 (sorry I'm American) whenever the insides get worn down, stinky, or less comfy.

Also they lose their tightness after a couple wears. They should always feel tight at first. Kind of like birkenstocks take wearing in. Maybe your issue is you aren't wearing boots in? A solid, quality pair of boots will take a bit of breaking because they are made to last.

Can someone link to the other thread please?
I live in my docs in winter (vegan docs). They go with pretty much anything and after being broken in (torture for me) they are so comfy.

I've been checking some of the boots out, some I've tried already, & they're just not for me, or they seem to dig in. I just cannot break a boot in any more, it has to be comfy immediately. Also I was wondering if some of the boots in the sale are rejects, as I couldn't even get my foot in one Rocket Dog I ordered. I'm a size 4, but feet are wide, actually a 4 seems small but a 5's too big, & quite a few shops don't do half sizes. I've narrowed it down to Sorrel Cosy Joans, I'd looked at these previously, Oak & Hide, & Hotter Belle. I've tried the Hotter Mystery boot, & they were comfy but I didn't like the ruched look. Such a shame as it was 2 for 1 at the time. I love a Docker but cannot be doing with the laces any more. I dare not enter Schuh again as they're beginning to give me ''The Look'' like there's something wrong with me, I'm beginning to think there is too. So I shall now be looking for a short Chelsea type boot, & a mid calf boot, in leather of course as there's some great styles out there, but they're plastic. Thanks all, very much appreciated!

Ah Whisperingwinds beat me to it - Fitflop Mukluks are just bloody wonderful. The only problem is that any other footwear feels like torture after wearing those miracles!!

Blundstone. I have had a pair on the go for about 25 years, about 3 pairs in total.
