Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 20:40

YANBU you can hide any thread you like. Smile

frasier · 18/03/2018 20:41

I hide ones with a certain word in every title also, but not "lighthearted".

I know what you mean though. I don't find it naff, I find it sad that people feel they have to apologise for their venting and mock outrage because they know the handful of mumsnetters are going to came along and call them names for complaining about their husbands or whatever.

I wish we could hide those small minded never changing mumsnetters comments (it's always the same few) because they remind me of my MIL!

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 20:42

I hide any thread with 'trans' in the title. Grin

MrsMaxwell · 18/03/2018 20:42

Sparklingbrook

You beat me to it 😂😂

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 20:43

Or 'CF' or 'Parking'. Grin

frasier · 18/03/2018 20:43

Yep, that's my word also!

MelonKim · 18/03/2018 20:44

trans
feminism
BORING

OP posts:
toffee1000 · 18/03/2018 20:46

What's even more ridiculous is that some posters still take the OP seriously, if it's not something like "my cat is a twat!" or whatever.

MelonKim · 18/03/2018 20:47

i once had a thread on here about 14 years ago offering my baby for sale.
You wouldn't get away with that now

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 20:48

I once started a thread saying I was going to ask the farmer down the road to stop muck spreading as it was making my washing on the line smell.

It didn't go well. Grin

MelonKim · 18/03/2018 20:49

lol
Lets not mention the prostitutes being killed in norwich Ipswich

OP posts:
frasier · 18/03/2018 20:55

I have started a thread purely to annoy the handful of small minded never changing mumsnetters and everyone of them posted what I thought they would post.

Too easy.

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 21:06

What was it about frasier? Trans cheeky fucker neighbours and their parking?

BackforGood · 18/03/2018 21:08

What Frasier said

well, and SparklingBrook

Loobyloomicles · 18/03/2018 21:14

Ha - was this in response to my thread? If so, sorry for being 'SOOO naff' and for you having to go to all the effort of reading but not clicking on it.

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 21:15

Oh no. Is this a TAAT?

himalayansalt · 18/03/2018 21:19

Naff but necessary. YABU.

Birdsgottafly · 18/03/2018 21:24

I agree that it's necessary. It still doesn't stop it being a free for all, or the thread turning into nastiness, because posters don't understand the meaning of lighthearted and trivial.

Don't see what's Naff about it, but naff might have a different meaning depending where you are.

MelonKim · 18/03/2018 21:27

no
naff as in how everyone understands naff

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 18/03/2018 21:28

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 21:31

I haven't got a daughter. And I have no idea what a GG residential is. Grin Grin

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 18/03/2018 21:32

Good for you!!

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2018 21:33

That's that sorted then. Grin

PickAChew · 18/03/2018 21:33

Damn, you'll have to hide this one, too.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 18/03/2018 21:33

I rest my case.
