The Steve Wright murders in Ipswich still aren't funny, even after all this time. Wasn't it that thread that made you go undercover?

I actually have considered posting this myself. a) I find the phrase "light-hearted" to be toe-curlingly naff and b) if people can't take the piss on mumsnet without having to underline their attempt at humour with a huge neon sign saying "this is a joke" then things have come to a pretty pass.

Finding 'hide this thread' kept me from leaving MN! So fed up of the trans threads.

Yes, I have hid this one now.

You can also hide whole topics - which has been a HUGE bonus for me.
You get the odd person still posting in Chat or AIBU, but it gets rid of the bulk of the ones that make you want to pull your eyeballs out.

Yet if a Poster says "I was being light-hearted" after her thread is shot to pieces, it's "Well why didn't you put light-hearted in the title then!"

TAATs...less original than 'lighthearted', less likely to actually make sense.
