To think that Postman Pat is the worst postman ever?

Always late, parcels damages or used, can't mind his own business and takes his cat to work with him?

I also think he’s he father of Norman, out of fireman Sam. He bears a striking resemblance. I think that’s why Norman is naughty. Postman Pat had an affair with Norman’s mum. Abandoned them and now his son is rebelling

Clandestino · 16/03/2018 10:09

I have my sincere doubts about Thomas the Tank Engine too. The pollution contributes to the global warming, way too slow and spends too much time with his friends instead of doing what he's paid/built for.

lizzlebizzle33 · 16/03/2018 10:31

I would love a Postman pat/fireman Sam crossover episode where it all comes out about their sordid affair, I say love....

Pat has red hair. So does his son. So do several other children in the village..... . Hmmm!! That has always got me thinking!!!

ProseccoPoppy · 16/03/2018 10:35

DH reckons Postman Pat is Charlie Pringle’s real dad rather than the former teacher character (who Charlie looks nothing like). And yes, he is a totally inept postman and very bad at his job.

lizzlebizzle33 · 16/03/2018 10:36

Good point @bookmum08 ! Do you think he maybe delivers more than just post?

dentydown · 16/03/2018 10:38

I do wonder if pat is involved in some sort of drugs/weapons dealing because he has a helicopter, van, motorcycle, and there is a massive computerised sorting office. This is for one small village. There must be some massive drugs farm going on to fund that...

dentydown · 16/03/2018 10:39

Swingers. The whole village is in on it. That’s why a lot of the children look like pat...

MyFavouriteChameleon · 16/03/2018 10:39

But we used to have a postman who was very like that (used to ring the bell and tell us what a friend had been upto on holiday, after he read the postcard).
I think they've worked to get a realism which is rare in pre school children's tv Grin

Cuppaoftea · 16/03/2018 10:40

YABU. Postman Pat never leaves parcels with random neighbours, chucks them in hedges or returns them to the depot without leaving a card.

Piffle11 · 16/03/2018 10:55

Really annoys me when Pat screws up a delivery, then finally gets it there ... and totally takes over. Like in the Special Delivery Service ones where he loses the bats: gets them to the vet, Amy, and then does the whole unveiling thing himself!

lizzlebizzle33 · 16/03/2018 13:05

He's a real control freak!

carryondoctor · 16/03/2018 13:34

Always reminds me of the rhyme we used to sing at school:

Postman pat
Postman pat
Postman pat ran over his cat
Blood and guts went flying
Pat burst out crying
Pat thinks he's a really unlucky man

Not sure which little terror composed that!?

carryondoctor · 16/03/2018 13:35

(alternative last line: "never seen a cat as flat as that". Kids can be awful!!!!)

Corblimeyguv · 16/03/2018 14:05

OP yes! You are spot on! I can’t understand why everyone thinks he’s so great and rewards his utter incompetence all the time by hailing him as a hero!

Yeh maybe, but what a lovely cat!

LunaDoot · 16/03/2018 14:24

It has to be drugs... I always wondered how they afforded that massive detached house on a postman’s salary.

lizzlebizzle33 · 16/03/2018 16:10

And what kind of postman has to deliver a cow? Clearly it was a front and it was full of cocaine balloons

OP posts:
TheQueenOfWands · 16/03/2018 16:15

My dad used to take his cat to work with him.

It can't be that uncommon.

Liaoyang · 16/03/2018 16:16

You know what they are going to call Postman Pat after he loses his job?
.

.
Pat Grin

twattymctwatterson · 17/03/2018 01:31

I've found my people! We call him shagger Clifton in this house

nancy75 · 17/03/2018 01:36

I believe postman Pat & PC plum from balamory went to the same school for incompetence. It’s no wonder the country is in this state if they let those 2 men do such important jobs.

Sproutpie · 17/03/2018 01:43

Why does he never wear shorts? My postie wears them all year round.

lizzlebizzle33 · 17/03/2018 02:07

@twattymctwatterson 😂😂
