Jeremy corbyn should resign as a statement on women equality

along with mcdonnell, landsman and watson in support of womens equality of the labour party. twitter.com/jeremycorbyn/status/971823982902218752
although there is next to no chance labour will elect a female leader as they have not yet and have had 10 elections since thatcher was elected as tory leader which assuming labour do not elect based on gender is a less than 1 percent chance.
in fact the best a female candidate has done is 3rd beckett in 1994 with 19 percent and cooper in 2015 with 17 percent.

Why don't you resign?

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 08/03/2018 19:59

Labour hate and vilify women.
There is zero chance of a women becoming leader of the Labour Party in the next decade or until Momentum are overthrown.

Clem7 · 08/03/2018 20:04

Why not join Labour and vote in their leadership election?

LizzieSiddal · 08/03/2018 20:05

Yes until he and his mysoginistic, white middle aged side-men go, Labour will never get in power.

Bejazzled · 08/03/2018 20:06

Labour despise real women.

Particularly if they are strong, intelligent, opinionated and not scared to speak out.

YTho · 08/03/2018 20:08

I think may should resign. And rees mogg as well.. She's leading a party with policies which have had a disproportionate negative effect on women. Also brexit, does she have a clue what is going on?

opionated · 08/03/2018 20:13

rees mogg is not in the cabinet and the fact you do not like may is all the more reason for corbyn to resign and it is known he can not win at a general election.

Jeremy Corbyn’s tweet was about pro gender equality . I see nothing wrong with that! I don’t know how him stepping down would resolve the gender pay gap and inequalities. I’m glad that we have a male leader of the opposition who has womens rights on his agenda. Women’s rights are not only a woman’s issue!

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 08/03/2018 20:24

he won’t go

We shall have the Tories in for sometime

I gave up my membership recently as I no longer want to be associated with Labour while they are so disinterested in having open dialogue. I was staying to vote Corbyn out but I don’t believe it shall happen anytime soon

KatieKittens · 08/03/2018 20:24

edit his tweet was pro gender equality

SmurfOrTerf · 08/03/2018 20:26

Women's rights ? The Labour Party hate women.

Theresasmayshoes11 · 08/03/2018 20:29

He’s bloody awful I can’t belive sensible women fawn over him. He can’t cope with real strong women. Labour can’t now. Obviously be a bloke in a frock and you fine.

Would rather slit my throat then vote Tory.

Fucked we are really

KatieKittens · 08/03/2018 20:30

Smurf- what do you base that on?

opionated · 08/03/2018 20:33

I see nothing wrong with that! I don’t know how him stepping down would resolve the gender pay gap and inequalities
because it be more equal after 100 years and many elections that the labour party have 1 female leader ( as opposed to acting leaders)

Opionated, how about may goes now along with more extreme ones such as rees mogg and Johnson and then a more moderate person could take over? Seeing as we're destined to be a tory country for the next eternity.

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 08/03/2018 20:33

Now now, he doesn't hate all women. He positively loves the women who are blokes in dresses.

LovesLaboursLost · 08/03/2018 20:37

Oh FFS. The Labour Party I know is full of strong, opinionated women.

Clem7 · 08/03/2018 20:38

How do you think the leader of the Labour Party should be chosen?

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 08/03/2018 20:38

... and blokes in dresses.

foodtime · 08/03/2018 20:38

What the absolute fuck am I reading? In what way do labour hate women more than any other party? Can anyone give any actual facts? Or is it trendy to just make statements without evidence?

This sort of nonsense is what truns women off feminism.

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 08/03/2018 20:39

How should the leader be chosen? Deathmatch. It's ridiculous anyway so it might as well be entertaining as opposed to depressing.

Clem7 · 08/03/2018 20:41

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits - what’s ridiculous about one member one vote?

KatieKittens · 08/03/2018 20:45

Opinionated- that’s a strange logic. What would guarantee he would be replaced by a woman? Scottish Labour have quite a few female leaders btw so goes to show that the party does support female leaders.

NC4Now · 08/03/2018 20:47

Can someone explain to me what was wrong with JCs tweet? It looks good to me.

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 08/03/2018 20:51

What's wrong with his tweet is that he stands up on his hind legs spouting bullshit while this is what's going on in his party:
