To tell other school mums to do one ?

So long story short, last week DH and I had an engagement so weren't able to pick SC up from school. Luckily DH brother had week off work so volunteered to pick kids up and look after them for an hour, squared this away with the school and all good. Must mention DH brother is extremely good looking (imagine a late twenties David Gandy and you get the idea). Since then I've had 4 different mums come and speak to me (a couple who I have never spoke to before) regarding BIL, wether he's single, job, etc. AIBU to tell them to do one ?

Bit harsh. It’s funny surely? Just laugh it off.

Trinity66 · 08/03/2018 14:54

so what?

Ginger1982 · 08/03/2018 14:55

Is he single? Are they single? Set them up!

VladmirsPoutine · 08/03/2018 14:55

So you've either joined MN just today or name-changed to discuss telling other mothers to fuck off because of your apparently very attractive BiL?

Ok sure.

You need to let it go because it doesn't matter.

Dancingmonkey87 · 08/03/2018 14:57

Do you want him for yourself op? Joking aside why are you so bothered. I would just laugh about it.

madeyemoodysmum · 08/03/2018 14:57

They are shallow and using you but I'd ignore it. depserados

NukaColaGirl · 08/03/2018 14:58

Bahaha. I had this when my ex did the school pick up for the first time. Hilarious. When we go to parents evenings or Sports Days, they all fawn all over him, right in front of me. He’s very good looking but also shy so it’s amusing to watch. He has a very pretty (and lovely) DW who finds it equally as funny as I do.

MumGrowingOldTooFast · 08/03/2018 15:01

Firstly I wouldn't want, the awkwardness if things didn't go well, yes he is single but I'm quite convinced women are his thing if you catch my drift and also feel about aggrieved now people I have never spoke to are speaking to me because of a man. I know I'm being a bit silly lol.

You fancy him don't you OP? Wink

Pleasebeafleabite · 08/03/2018 15:03

I had this with my super handsome stepson

He used to pick up ds from nursery occasionally and soon the staff used to fall over themselves to be ds’s keyworker.

Unintended benefits

MumGrowingOldTooFast · 08/03/2018 15:04

Haha he is not my type but will admit he is a very, very attractive man.

School mums are always other people. Grin

Theresasmayshoes11 · 08/03/2018 15:04

Tell them you are in a threesome relationship. You are the dom and they are your subs.

That should kill all the gossip dead Wink

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 08/03/2018 15:05

You fancy him don't you OP?
Exactly.

Why on earth would this bother you so much?

Thistlebelle · 08/03/2018 15:07

I really don’t understand why this would annoy you tbh. It rather reveals that the women concerned are a bit shallow but You don’t have to hand out any information about him.

NeverMetACakeIDidntLike · 08/03/2018 15:08

I'd think it was shallow of them - if they have never spoken to you before, and now have started to, just because they want something (someone) then I'd be a bit Hmm

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 08/03/2018 15:12

David Gandy is gorgeous though Wink

DalekDalekDalek · 08/03/2018 15:14

Can't see why this would bother you, I think it sounds quite funny. If you don't want to set him up just say he has a girlfriend/boyfriend.

DullAndOld · 08/03/2018 15:14

why does this make you angry?
Surely if you didn't fancy him yourself, you would have a laugh and a joke about it...:)

CavoliRiscaldati · 08/03/2018 15:16

your poor DH

elQuintoConyo · 08/03/2018 15:17

David Gandy you say...

I've just PMd you Wink

Eveforever · 08/03/2018 15:20

David Gandy eh? Any chance I could get his phone number?

I can see why it would be a bit offensive and irritating that people are only talking to you in order to inquire about your BIL. I would try and see the funny side though and, if he's as handsome as you say, it's not really surprising that people are showing an interest in him.

expatinscotland · 08/03/2018 15:20

Just tell them he's not single.

The80sweregreat · 08/03/2018 15:22

It does sound a bit shallow, but it is boring hanging around waiting for the kids to come out of school and seeing him about must have brightened up their day a bit maybe? i would just laugh it off myself -
i would probably say ' yeah, he is nice ' and leave it at that.
he doesnt do the school run for you very often, it will soon become old news!

MumGrowingOldTooFast · 08/03/2018 15:25

DH is completely fine with it, he is very secure with himself and plus as I've said BIL is not quite my cup of tea.
