To tell other school mums to do one ?

So long story short, last week DH and I had an engagement so weren't able to pick SC up from school. Luckily DH brother had week off work so volunteered to pick kids up and look after them for an hour, squared this away with the school and all good. Must mention DH brother is extremely good looking (imagine a late twenties David Gandy and you get the idea). Since then I've had 4 different mums come and speak to me (a couple who I have never spoke to before) regarding BIL, wether he's single, job, etc. AIBU to tell them to do one ?

Set up a fee paying bil dating website.

I'd just find it funny. All of my single female friends at my wedding were very taken with my brother. Alas for them he was (and is) very happily married.

BanginHeadache · 08/03/2018 15:33

Pic of him or he doesn't exist Grin

maddiemookins16mum · 08/03/2018 15:34

Do one? (not heard that since 1999).
Have no idea who David Gandy is either.

DotCottonDotCom · 08/03/2018 15:36

Ahh but are THEY single?

it seems impossible for some people just to pick up and drop off their kids without nosing into others lives

InSisu · 08/03/2018 15:43

David Gandy looks just like Robbie Jackson off eastenders!
I wouldn't let it bother you OP it's amusing, it's not like they're being fake trying to be your BFF. They sound upfront if anything.

BrendasUmbrella · 08/03/2018 15:44

Unless these Mum's have deliberately gone out of their way to avoid you before, I wouldn't be bothered. Sometimes people need a conversational opener. See if you like them. If you do, you can keep them entertained by tales of your BILs exploits. No need to instantly write them off just because you've had a status boost in their eyes!

Branleuse · 08/03/2018 15:49

I had never heard of David Gandy before this, but now im interested in getting to know your BIL

School mums are always other people

so true Grin

OhCalamity · 08/03/2018 16:04

YABU.

You should tell them that he's incredibly shy after he sold his IT company to Apple for millions. That he's single and waiting for the right woman. In the mean time he just loves to help out with DC's pickups and drop offs for various things.

Then plan lovely days off when the stream of playdate offers come flooding in.

Shen0102 · 08/03/2018 16:04

Pimp him out

upsideup · 08/03/2018 16:16

I've had school mums gushing other my 22 year olds dsd's boyfriend, its disrespectful and quite creepy.

Piffle11 · 08/03/2018 16:19

I'm presuming your point is that they usually ignore you, but now they know you've a hottie in the family, they want in ... yeah, tell them to stuff it. There's a DM at our school who clearly thought I wasn't worth talking to until she found out that my DH was someone her husband wanted to be 'in' with for business ...

therealposieparker · 08/03/2018 16:19

I don't believe he's that good looking, ca you post a picture?

Oblomov18 · 08/03/2018 16:21

Ha ha. I had this with my brother. Who is good looking. Even though I am very NOT.
Many mums came and talked to me after. But I thought nothing of it/just laughed to Dh about it.
Surprised you are talking it so seriously.

Oblomov18 · 08/03/2018 16:22

God. I love David Gandy!!

I remember when DS was at preschool
Everyone made more of an effort ( including staff) on Thursdays. Thursdays was when Sebastian’s Dad did pick up.

Deshasafraisy · 08/03/2018 16:42

Do you fancy your bil?

therealposieparker · 08/03/2018 16:46
