How far do you live from your ex? Same town, 5 mins down the road? How far?

OP posts:
Rinoachicken · 03/03/2018 12:44

About 40mins away by dual carriageway.

MrsMooks · 03/03/2018 12:44

40 min drive, about 30 miles.

TheFifthKey · 03/03/2018 12:46

4000 miles Hmm

Blinkyblink · 03/03/2018 12:46

10 miles

Charley50 · 03/03/2018 12:47

My ex needed to move near his family: 4 hour round trip by car or train.

Charley50 · 03/03/2018 12:47

Why do you ask?

Ditzyitzy · 03/03/2018 12:48

5 minutes away which works well as we work shifts around each other.

Icklepickle101 · 03/03/2018 12:48

10 mins, purposefully to make shared care as easy as possible

Whydomypubeslooklikeanest · 03/03/2018 12:48

About 500 miles from one. 10 miles from the other. Never see either of them though.

spanieleyes · 03/03/2018 12:48

5, 278 miles Grin

SilverdaleGlen · 03/03/2018 12:49

3.5hrs each way.

Means he doesn't see them as much as he should.

Minestheoneinthegreen · 03/03/2018 12:49

300 miles.

VileyRose · 03/03/2018 12:50

I was for 10yrs and I live 190 miles from my ex and it's not far enough!

Agustarella · 03/03/2018 12:51

Thousands of miles, never counted how many. His choice!

GingerIvy · 03/03/2018 12:54

About 3.5 hrs away. But we discussed it prior to my move, and he agreed it was the best move possible for the dcs and was necessary. He can't be bothered to visit them, even though he said he would, but he at least will face time with them when they want and is supportive of other things with them, so I'll call it "making the best of it." I've twice taken them to his location for a few days (which was expensive!!)so they could see him.

EthelHornsby · 03/03/2018 12:58

Eternity - not all single parents are divorced

megletthesecond · 03/03/2018 13:03

I don't know where he lives.

Mine you, even when he was in the same town he wasn't totally reliable or willing to co-parent.

flirtygirl · 03/03/2018 13:39

I will soon be 100 miles away, moving to a cheaper area.

flirtygirl · 03/03/2018 13:40

Why op? Are you thinking of moving?

DeathStare · 03/03/2018 13:41

Why do you ask? Quality of relationship isn't dependent on distance

MumInTheCity · 03/03/2018 13:42

Less than 5 miles. He hasn't seen or had any contact with DD in over 10 years. She'll be 13 this year.

TresDesolee · 03/03/2018 13:44

10 mins. Was important to me that he saw the kids as often as possible (he’s a good man and a good dad)

Hatethewordhun · 03/03/2018 13:45

15 minute drive away! But he has seen them once in a year! Angry

Babdoc · 03/03/2018 13:46

Same as Ethel - my dh died when our babies were 2 years and 11 months respectively. He was buried in the churchyard next to our village school.

Yika · 03/03/2018 13:48

About 50 mins drive away
