My oh has taken the day off to catch up on jobs. This morning we did a bit of diy, and then we've been in the garden for a couple of hours ( general tidy up, hedge cutting, getting ready for spring )
Anyways I come in make us a cup of tea, take both teas in front room. He comes in with a dinner plate with 2 slices of cake sat on it . He then starts to drink his teas whilst eating his cake holding the plate ( like you do ) not offering me the other piece. So i'm beginning to think maybe they are both his but really thinking ignorant fucker - give me my bit. He finishes his then passes me mine and is amazed that I'm pretty pissed off by now !!

so not funny - just annoying

Theglobe · 22/02/2018 14:28

‘Pass me that slice of cake or are you going to scoff the lot!’. Or were you just looking for a reason to be pissed off?

OakIsBetterTho · 22/02/2018 14:29

Why wouldn't you ask him to pass you the other piece? He sounds like a weirdo tho.

Thistlebelle · 22/02/2018 14:29

Use your words.

If you want something ask for it.

Sirzy · 22/02/2018 14:29

“Where’s my cake?” Would have been a better response than getting angry surely?

DietCokeGirrrrrl · 22/02/2018 14:29

Life is too short to be pissed off about something SO TINY. Why didn't you just ask for your bit, or take it from the plate?

pinkdelight · 22/02/2018 14:30

Why didn't you take it? Don't you communicate? How bizarre.

Lovesagin · 22/02/2018 14:30

I couldn't get even slightly worked up about this.

purplelass · 22/02/2018 14:34

I'd have just said 'gonna share that?' rather than letting it get to me.

Don't really understand why you got annoyed at all to be honest...

isseywithcats · 22/02/2018 14:37

i wouldnt even have asked if he brought two pieces of cake in i would have just grabbed one off the plate and said ooh ta very much, but then my Oh would have asked me if i wanted a piece of cake before he got some anyway

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 22/02/2018 14:38

Why would you just sit there watching and getting more and more pissed off?

Surely you’d just ask for your bit Confused At least that’s what I’d do if it was me and my DH.

GrannyGrissle · 22/02/2018 14:40

Do you only own one plate OP? Dinnertime must be tiresome.

WunWegWunDarWun · 22/02/2018 14:43

No I wouldn't be the slightest bit pissed off because of just have taken my piece. What an odd thing to stew over.

Namethecat · 22/02/2018 14:44

Lol no own plenty of plates. Guess it was just me having a ' moment ' all ok now ( with cake inside me !)

APontypandyPioneer · 22/02/2018 14:49

Now, if he ate both pieces of cake I would say you've every right to be mad.

He didn't he just put them on one plate, not sure what the issue is. Either way, communication is important. It's good to talk as the saying goes.

IMO YABU.

Originalfoogirl · 22/02/2018 14:50

If you wanted the cake, take the cake. I'd be amazed that you were pissed off too. How long did it take him to eat the cake? Can't have been more than a few minutes. What a bizzare thing to be annoyed about.

falsepriest · 22/02/2018 14:53

Slow day on AIBU isn't it...

user1495390685 · 22/02/2018 14:55

I do that to save on the washing up! Never knew it would annoy the other person Blush

TheFirstMrsDV · 22/02/2018 14:55

What? Confused

italiancortado · 22/02/2018 14:55

You are pissed off because he ate his piece of cake before passing you yours? Surely that was literally seconds, a minute tops? Unless his slice of cake was the size of your house!

I swear some people must be fucking miserable all day long. What an existence.

battenbergbutterfly · 22/02/2018 14:57

Why have you really laughed out loud at the type of cake?

Pseudousername · 22/02/2018 15:02

Trinity66 · 22/02/2018 15:03
